Family Matters (Fred Weasley) Pt 2

A/N: Part 2 of Family Matters

3rd POV:
Fred hadn't seen his family in almost four years, after that dinner, the two left. The only family members they talked to was Bill, Fleur, George and his new girlfriend Dahlia Archer. George had broke up with Angelina when she kept talking about his brothers relationship.

Y/n was Dahlia's 'slytherin' while they attended Hogwarts so when the two girls met, it was a match made in heaven. Dahlia also became quick friends with Fleur and the three girls would have weekly brunch.

A few weeks after Fred cut off ties with his family, he learned that Y/n was pregnant, to say it was ecstatic, was an understatement, he was bouncing off the walls of their flat, the next day he transformed their empty bedroom into a nursery. Everywhere he went he would tell random strangers on the street that his girlfriend was pregnant and he was going to be a dad.

9 months later, Y/n had birthed a beautiful healthy boy, Thomas or Tommy L/n. He was a carbon copy of Fred, the only thing he got from his mother was wavy hair and her nose but other that, he was Fred Jr. (Fred begged Y/n to name their son after him, but he was shot down a couple times, 18 times)

The family moved from the flat above the shop to a renovated barn near Shell's Cottage to be close with Bill, Fleur and Victoire.

It was groups annual weekly tea, Tommy and Victoire were playing on the beach while Fleur, Bill, Fred, Y/n, George and Dahlia watched them from the back patio. Victoire was making a sand castle while Tommy was collecting sand in the bucket for her.

Their peaceful Sunday was interrupted when there was a knock on the front door. "Are you expecting anyone?" Bill looked at wife and family. Everyone shook their head no.

Bill walked towards the front door to open it and see his mother, father, Ron and Ginny. It was quite a shock, like Fred he hadn't his family since that dinner and they never sent him a letter.

"Mum?" He said shocked. "What are you doing here?"

"I miss you." She said sincerely. "I know what I've said was wrong and I want to make amends."

"Oh...uh come in." He said weakly. Bill opened the door farther and led them to the back patio.

"Who was at the door?" Fred asked his brother but before Bill could answer he saw his parents and two younger siblings walk into the patio. "Oh."

"Hello Fred." Molly smiled.

"What are you doing here?" He raised an eyebrow, Bill nor Fred heard from her in four years and now she's here?

"I'm here to see my grandchildren." She replied, and the 6 of them knew why they were here, didn't want to make amends they just wanted to see their grandchildren.

"I don't want you to see Thomas." Fred used his full name for the first time since he was born. "For four years you've had a chance to apologize to any of us but your only here for them."

"I have to spoil him, her parents are in Azkaban and can't do that." Molly looked at Y/n. Y/n took in a sharp breath at the comment, both her parents were sent to Azkaban after the war but were released a year later after finding out they were under the imperio curse.

"I'll have you know, we visit her parents every Wednesday so Tommy can play with his grandparents and aunt and uncle." Fred said.

"Your sending a Weasley to death eaters." Arthur gasped.

"He isn't a Weasley, he's a L/n." Y/n spoke for the first time since they have arrived.

"What do you mean?" Ron asked. "Fred is a Weasley, so he has to be a Weasley."

"I have you know, Y/n gave birth to him and we both decided that it was a good idea that he would be a L/n because when I get married to Y/n, I'm changing my last name to hers." Fred explained.

"You can't do that!" Ginny exclaimed.

"I can do what I please, I'm proud that my son is a L/n and soon, so will I." Fred stated proudly.

"You want to marry her and come into her death eater family." Ron said with disgust.

"They aren't death eaters." Fred yelled startling his girlfriend a bit.

"We just want to meet him, before he becomes corrupted by her." Molly spat looking at Y/n. "I don't want her to have a bad influence like she did with you."

"A bad influence." Fred raised an eyebrow at his mother.

"Look at you, where's my old Freddie. You have tattoos, your ears are pierced and you had a child out of wedlock, she's changing you." Molly explained.

"I'll have you know, Y/n didn't do any of that, I made those decisions without her influence, it was my choice to get a tattoo and pierce my ears and it was choice to get her pregnant before we got married." Fred narrowed his eyes at his mom. "So if you keep bashing her, I don't want you in my son's life, I don't want that toxicity near him. So once you can understand and accept that I love Y/n, you can't see him."

"Daddy!" Tommy and Vic ran up to the patio.

"Hey buddy, did you have fun with Vic." He ruffled his wavy red hair.

"Yeah." He cheered giggling. "Mommy said we can get ice cream, can we go now?"

"Yeah that's sounds good bud, why don't you and Auntie Dahlia go get your shoes and coat." Fred said as he saw her mother and father look at Tommy.

"Come on." Tommy got back on the ground and dragged Dahlia back into the house.

"We best get going." Fred looked at his two brothers and sister-in-law. "We'll see you again."

"Let's go love." Fred grabbed her hand and led the two past his parents, Ron and Ginny back into the cottage.
