Love and Trust (Draco Malfoy)

A/N: Draco proving his love to you because he has been neglecting you as his girlfriend

Y/n POV:
"Where were you?" Draco asked once I entered his prefect dorm. It was 11pm when I got back.

"Salazar, you scared me, why aren't you asleep." I exclaimed putting a hand over my heart.

"Why weren't you in bed." He asked me.

"I was with Blaise." I answered going towards his dresser to grab my clothes that I kept in his room.

"Where?" He kept asking questions.

"Astronomy Tower." I slid out of my skirt.

"The Astronomy Tower is our place." He pouted. "And why we were you out so late with him."

"I wasn't, he found me there and we ended up talking for a while." I shrugged sliding in bed.

"You can't hangout with him anymore." He declared.

"What? He's my best friend." I furrowed my eyebrows.

"Well I don't care, you can't hangout with him anymore." He huffed.

"Okay, if I can't hangout with Blaise, you can't hangout with Pansy." I shot back. It was no secret the two of them were close friends and until a few months ago, I knew how Pansy felt about Draco. It hurt knowing she was best friend and in love with him. I kept telling myself nothing will happen because Draco loved me, right? He hadn't said he loved me yet and we've together for almost two years. And for the past few weeks he's been hanging out with Pansy, skipping dates and coming back late at night.

"What!" He sat up. "I can't do that."

"Why not, if you won't let me hang out with Blaise, you can't hang out with Pansy. How do I think I feel when you've been ignoring me for the past few weeks hanging out with Pansy and leaving me at Hogsmeade and coming back late at night. I don't ask any questions because I know she's your best friend. But when I come back late once with Blaise you go crazy." I expressed.

"Do you now how it feels when little first years have to come and tell me my boyfriend is hanging out with another girl while we were suppose to go on a date. I've been the second choice to Pansy my whole life and I hoped that once we got together, I would finally be first in something, but I guess, your friendship with her and is more important than your relationship with me."

"What do you want me to do, Blaise is always hanging off your arm and you don't do anything about it. You two are always whispering and giggling in class. Merlin, it's like I can't trust you." He yelled.

"You can't trust me!" I yelled back. "I'm at your beck and call everyday, just hoping to squeeze in some time with you because you've been busy with Pansy. Don't you know she's in love with you. I'm your girlfriend, and I love you but you can't seem to wrap it around your thick head."

"Well, I don't think I can be with someone I can't trust." He huffed.

"Okay." I answered getting off the bed and walking towards the dresser grabbing my clothes.

"Y/n what are you doing, come back to bed." He looked at me furrowing his eyebrows.

"No, you said it yourself, you can't be with someone you don't trust and you clearly don't trust me so I'm leaving." I grabbed my clothes. "So when you're ready to see that I love you and trust you with all my beings, come find me."

I left his room slamming the door and walking back up to my dorm. I slowly opened the door and saw Flora and Heista already sleeping. I just threw my clothes on my chair and climbing into bed. Luckily it was Friday and we didn't have class the next day, I slept in.

Once I got up, I saw the twins already gone, it was around 10:30, breakfast was over and everyone was doing their own thing. After taking my shower, I went over to my vanity to do my makeup when I heard someone knock on the door. "It's open."

"Where have you been?" Blaise walked in with Jade following behind him. "And why weren't you in Draco's dorm, I checked there and neither of you were there

"I slept in." I answered. "And we got into an argument last night and I left."

"What happened." Jade asked sitting down on my bed playing with the teddy bear Draco got me on our first date.

"I came back after curfew last night when Blaise found me in the Astronomy Tower and Draco went berserk because I was with you." I looked at Blaise. "And I told him we were just talking, which we were and he said I couldn't hang out with you anymore, so I said he can't hangout with Pansy because we all know how much she loves him. Then he told me doesn't trust me and can't be with someone he can't trust so I left. And I think I told him I loved him for the first time last night."

Neither of them said anything just rapidly blinking at me. "I know." I sighed.

"You deserve so much better than that." Jade answered. "You deserve someone who can trust you and love you."

"I don't want someone else, I want Draco." I looked myself in the mirror. "But why is it so hard to love him, I do everything in my power and it still isn't good enough for him. Is it me, am I the problem because I'm willing to change."

"Oh honey." Blaise frowned. "There is nothing wrong with you, you are a strong independent woman, you accepted me when I told you I was gay. You don't need to change."

"I should talk to Draco." I looked at him. "Do you know where he is?"

"He wasn't at breakfast this morning." Jade looked at me. "And neither was Pansy."

"Oh." I frowned.

"That doesn't mean they were together." Jade tried to fix what she said.

"Does it though?" I answered. "It's fine, I'm just going to the library to do some studying. I'll see you later."

"Hello love." Draco said once I walked back into my dorm.

"What are you doing here?" I looked at him putting my books away.

"I can't see my girlfriend." He asked me.

"Last I checked, I'm not your girlfriend because you can't trust me." I answered.

"Look, what I said last night, I didn't mean it." He ran his hand through his hair. "I just got jealous that you were with Blaise."

"And you don't think I'm jealous when you're with Pansy." I shot back. "You can't just tell me I can't be friends with him anymore, you can't control me because I'm your girlfriend. I'm still a person, but lately it feels like I'm a piece of property when I'm with you. You know what Blaise and Jade told me today? They told me I needed someone better, someone who can trust me and put me first."

"I do though!" Draco replied.

"Do you really?" I raised an eyebrow. "I'm not going to sugarcoat this, but it's hard being with you. You constantly have these mood swings and someones are a bit hot headed, but I still want to be with you even though we both know I deserve better. But I'm still here, because I want to be with you even if you treat me like shit. I don't think I live without you."

"I can't live without you either." He whispered.

"Than make it seem like that, because right now I feel like your side chick who you come to when you're in need of some action." I answered.

"Does that mean we're back together?" Draco asked.

"No, we're nowhere near that. Right now we are acquaintances, two people who know each other, but aren't friends. I never really had your trust, so you need to work for it." I explained.

"Before we do all that." Draco sighed. "I love you too."

In a different situation, I would be beaming, the boy I loved, loves me back, but we aren't there. "You probably do, but actions speak more than words."
