The sound seemed to hang in the air. Mr.Hartman eyed me as we both tiptoed over the where the noise had come from. Then we saw near his door, the principal. She was younger, blond, and very nice. Miss Rose. She was sprawled out on the floor. Her papers surrounding her. "I think she passed out." Mr.Hartman stated rubbing His for head. "Thank you captain obvious!" I yelled sarcastically throwing up my hands. He made a face at me before going to Miss Rose's side. He propped up her upper body and I attempted to wake her up. "Miss Rose! Wake up! Wake up! Your safe!" I tried to begin with. Those were not working. "Miss Rose, your late for work!!" I tried yelling to her but it seemed she was out cold. "Ugh, now what!" I yelled frustrated, starring at the limp body of the principal. Mr. Hartman set her down. "What happened!" I heard her yell. "Oh sure now she wakes up!" I hollar. "Calm down Piper!" Mr.Hartman tells me. "Fine!" I snot back. "P-piper your alive!" Miss Rose stammers now close to tears. "Yes I'm alive." I tell her as calmy as possible. "But the bear and dead camping and parents..funreal!?" Miss Rose spoke frantically. She spoke nonsense for a while before the facts set in. I have to admit it was pretty funny. At one point she was talking about raccoons in her freezer. I tried my best not to bust out laughing but I did left a giggle out here and there. Once she came to her senses she began the flow of questions. "How are you alive!?" "What happened to you!?" "Where did you go!?" "Am I losing my mind!?" The young administrator asked through bouts of tears. I then started my answers. "Never was dead." "My parents abandoned me in the woods." "I've been in the woods, here and at the Meer residence." "And no your not losing your mind." I spoke calmly and sweetly. "Your parents did this to you!?" Miss Rose gasped. "Yep, sad but true." I told her shrugging it off. "And you were at the Meer residence?" "As in James Meer?" She asked squinting. "Um, yes." I told her a bit unsure. "James came to me this morning in hysterics saying something awful had happened but could not tell me what." She said looking me in the eyes, making me squrim in my seat. "He must have been worried sick about you! Did you tell him you were leaving?" She asked, he eyes still boring a hole in me. "No, the news showed the footage of me And proved I was alive. I did not want them to have that burden. So I left." I explained to her. She sighed a bit. "Piper I'm so sorry."Miss Rose finally spoke after a long silence. "Can I call James down here now to see you?" She asked cautiously. "Yes please!" I almost yelled. She giggled picking up the phone which hung near the door. I blushed a shade of red that surpassed all blushes. James was paged to Mr.Hartman's room within minutes. I sat anxiously on a lab bench staring at the door. After what seemed like years I heard the click of the door as it opened. I froze. Then he came in. "You wanted to see me Mr.Hartm-" then he noticed me. "Piper!!" He shouted launching himself at me. He grabbed me by my middle and pulled me into a hug. I returned it gladly. I looked up at him, my face barely reaching his shoulder. "Hi!" I said giggling. He then kissed my forehead. This was unexpected. I heard Mr.Hartman shift uncomfortably. I broke the hug. I gave both guys an apologetic look. "Now," Miss Rose started. "What's next."
