What's in a moment?
A moment gained
A moment lost
A moment forgotten
A high cost
A bird starts to fly
A flower starts to die
A new star in the sky
A burn on the pie
A person starts to cry
A person finds out why
Anew item placed on the shelf to buy
A man shut down their shop with a sigh
What is in a moment?
You've spent many moments in your life
But what is the value of the moment?
Is it given? Or is it chosen?
Is it a space of time which is frozen?
A moment is a platter or plate
The design of is up for debate
But please do not send any hate
If my platter is in a worse or better state
I treasure each moment with my mate
And even the time i attempted to skate
But do not treat my platter like bait
Or i'll be forced to set you straight
Because i treasure each and every date
Whether or not it was my fate
I have chosen to open the gate
Even though i may have been a bit late
To me, my plate is rather ornate
That is what makes a moment to me
Though it is rather difficult to say
The plate moves each and every day
My moments have value
That might not be so clear to you
You do not know my moments
Made up of many components
Only i would ever know
The value which my moments show
I can see the moment
I can hear the moment
I can feel the moment
I can taste the moment
But do I live the moment?
