Her husband
Tall dark and handsome
A protective rebel
That was her perspective
At a young age
All she wanted
Was the boys on the page
The models the actors
All the way up to the film stars
That was all she wanted
Reality hit
It took a bit
But reality hit
Words such as
'handsome'
'Beautiful'
'Attractive'
'Good-looking'
Were never effective
The kindness of the heart
And the joy they bring
Made it clear
Who would give her the ring
He may not have been her younger selves' type
But he was hers and she was his
Her husband was her one true love
And she'd love him to bits
