Romantic Ronnie
I saw it happen
You can't deny it,
I saw it happen.
The foolish flick of a young girl's heart
A devilish twang of a boy's smirk
Neither were prepared for
What I saw happen
The picturesque was shattered
The masquerade disturbed
The shape distorted
He pushed her down rough
A smile still on her face
But it wasn't enough to hide the tears
Because I saw it happen
He moulded, twisted and punctured her heart
Until it was no longer what she knew
I saw it happen
The day in the park,
You had a bike and she had no shoes.
You smiled and laughed your way into playing
Then you stood on her toes.
The harsh truth of yours came out
And I saw it happen
