lurking in the shadows
it scares me
what i do not know
it stares at me
i don't even know how
it scares me
the darkness it sees
all of my darkest secrets
i know how this feels
it scares me
it's dark and cold
with it's piercing red eyes
and stars as bright as gold
it scares me
what's out there
the unknown and the danger
but what is to bare?
i'm not scared
of the darkness outside
but what i'm scared of
is what is waiting inside
