Golden pride
The moon whispers to me late at night
Telling me something just isn't right
I'm holding back restless waves
I want to go down the road that the brilliant pave
I gotta mouth full of blood from biting my lip
Every day my confidence seems to slip
Lookin for a person with wings
To help me embrace these beautiful things
My emotions like golden lights
As I think over and over about the rights
The rights to live, the rights to love
Societies thoughts started to evolve
Cause we got pride
we don't need to hide
we're on the free side
laughin and screamin on this wild ride.
We stand unite
With our right
to love who we are
to shine like a star
sending our light far
we send the gold light
to those who are scared
to those who are unprepared
the world will soon be repaired
your voice will be heard
your hurt will be cured
the joy will be felt
as the fear starts to melt
love is love
and you are you
I know you will see this through
Your life is a gift, your life is of value
Who you love doesn't define you
All love is golden
In the end when you have won
The biggest prize is the love you hold
We're not made from the same mould
We all have a story to be told
so join the golden pride
with love and equality on our side
from us you don't need to hide
your beauty shines when you show your pride
