Cookies
They're sitting in a store on a plain white shelf
The voice in your head may say;
If I get those I can have one with the children while they play
Leaving a small smile on your lips , in your eyes a happy gleam glows
The instant warmth of a bakery on a cold winter morning.
They may say;
Have a nice day
Wishing a smile to your face, in your eyes a thankful gleam glows
Packed in your lunch in an office on one of those busy days it lays with a note from the wife
The note may say;
Don't stress, things fall where they may
Bringing a smile to your face , in your eyes a fond gleam glows
On a tray with milk and a comfort like no other
And your mother may say;
Don't worry honey, your perfect in every way
Bringing a smile to your life, in your eyes a loving gleam glows
Cookies,
They brighten your day, an array of flavour,
They make you warmer, happier, fonder,
But don't get ones that are unlabelled
You know there are raisins in there
