**** Horace's POV *****

Horace stood there, watching as his friend Gilan was sparing with someone. Gilan kept slashing repeatedly at the guy. Horace couldn't believe his eyes, Was this random man beating Gilan. Gilan shot a backhand thrust unarming his opponent.

"Good round Y/N" Gilan grunted looking at his sword for damage. Y/N? It feels like a feminine name.

"Well if it isn't the great Horace." His friend grinned breaking Horace's train of thought.

"Who's that?" I gestured to the knight who was removing his gear.

"He's pretty good," I remarked. The knight turned to me.

"He?" Gilan smirked.

"That's my sister, Y/N." Gilan rolled his eyes. The knight took off his- Erm... Her? Helmet and Y/H/C locks fell to her shoulders. She had sharp features but had Y/E/C that contrasted her pale skin.

"You never told me you had a sister." I shot a glare at Gilan.

"You never asked." He pointed out, I opened my mouth to say something but decided not to since I wouldn't ever win an agreement against Gilan.

"Y/N?" A child appeared from behind a tree.

"Yes, Joseph?" Y/N knelt to face the kid.

"Can you teach me and the other kids how to shoot a bow and arrow like you?" He asked with wide eyes. She laughed.

"That's a secret, and the secret is practice. Gilan here would miss every shot if he didn't practice." She pointed to Gilan. Gilan looked offended.

"Don't even try to object, Halt told me about the first time you held a bow." She spoke when Gilan drew a breath to say something.

"Fair point." He muttered before saying that he had to get some new arrows.

"Y/N" She held her hand out for me, I took her hand but then she pulled me down. An arrow whisked past me.

"Nice to see you too Will." She dusted off her leggings.

"Dang it!" Will cursed and appeared from the tree.

"I was trying to-" He started.

"Behead me." I finished, Will was offended.

"No, trying to scare Y/N." He gestured to the girl.

"Was everyone here aware of her existence except me?" I snorted.

"If you'd opened your large eyes and used your small brain you would have been aware of her existence." Halt shimmered into existence, with an eyebrow raised. Will chuckled at this.

"Well, Oak Pancake knight I challenge you to a duel," The girl smiled and trusted the wooden sword at me. Grinning I accepted, Oh she is so on.

Halfway through the bout, I started to notice how beautiful her eyes were. She smiled sweetly before disarming her.

"I win." She shrugged.

*&^%$ A few weeks later &()^#^$

"COME ON!" I shouted. Y/N laughed.

"We've tied again! Gods we have to wait till next month to find out who wins."  She complained.

"Uh... I was wondering wanna go grab dinner at Jenny's?" I ran a hand through my hair.

"Sure." She shrugged.

"Not like the other times, where we discussed sword techniques. Like a date." I stammered. She inspected me.

"Like I said earlier, Sure." She smiled and left.

Oh gods, that girl had me wrapped around her finger...
