If Itachi had to be honest, he did feel remorseful for making the Fragrance so aggrieved. But he was someone who dreaded sugarcoating his words, he simply spoke to her candidly to snap her back to reality.

But he must have forgotten that this Fragrance girl had a heart as fragile as thin ice; one touch and it would shatter. Itachi had always been surrounded by ninja, where the core of such occupation was to be cold-blooded and merciless, all his life. Thus, he was not used to being around someone as soft-hearted as she was. He didn't take into account that she was no ninja and he must have forgotten how sheltered she was all her life.

Now, he had made her mad at him.

That stormy night was the first time he had ever seen her aggressively angry. She was always passive and timid around him; obedient and a good girl to say the least.

For seven years, no one had ever understood him until she came along. And due to her power, she became the only person left in this world who knew the true reason behind the genocide. She was the only person who had shown him unconditional care even though she never needed to. And she was the only person who made him feel like he would regret his choices in life.

And after the conversation he had with her by the cliff, he hadn't seen her since then. She seemed to be avoiding him like it was the matter of life and death. The only place she had to hide from him was her room, in which she had locked herself in.

It shouldn't have uneased him that she did so. She was simply an irrelevant burden placed upon him. Yet, a part deep in him had enjoyed the temporary bliss of having someone understood him, so much so that he didn't want to lose it. And without her presence, he felt a strange uneasiness urging him to do something about it.

That day, when he went over to the living room to fetch himself a cup of tea to calm his thoughts, all of the Akatsuki members were present in the living room. Their faces were serious as they glared at him.

Itachi angled his face their way, fearlessly meeting their razor eyes.

Deidara was the first to show his idiotic impulse. He shot up from the couch, his face filled with fury. "Hey, I don't want to say this, Itachi, but you're terrible with girls. Kuina seems really down because of you, and now we haven't seen her come out of her room for two days."

Itachi cast a solid glance at Deidara's theatrics before heading for the kitchen. "Humans are bound to feel emotions. Once she gets over her predicament, she will eventually come out of her room."

At his words, Hidan shot up, swinging his scythe over his shoulder. "You really don't care? Aren't you and her like a lovey-dovey couple? Why are you so stern? I personally don't care if that little thing dies, but I don't want to be in the wrath of Leader-sama," He fumed, puffing out his cheeks.
