Once Richard had left to go to his meeting Megan took the opportunity to look around his house. She found some old photo albums. She couldn't believe how cute Richard was as a child and how handsome he had grown. He looked like such a family man.
Her heart melted when she saw him with his nephew. He looked so proud to be his uncle. It then lead her to think about whether he was the one. Soon she had flicked through all the photos of him with friends and family. She even noticed that he got his smile from his dad and Richard was the only one to inherit that feature.
She then decided to make her way into town. She planned on buying a few bits for dinner so she could make him a romantic meal for tonight. So to town she went.

Once she got there she felt like someone was following her. She had that strange paranoid sense. She did her best to push that thought aside but she kept herself aware. Once she had brought the spaghetti, tomatoes, garlic, French stick, wine and a dessert (that they could share) she bumped into Paul and that feeling came back.
"Hello Megan" said Paul with a wink.
"Hi Paul"
"So what are you doing in here?"
"Buying food funnily enough". Megan did her best to stop the conversation and move aside but Paul grabbed her arm.
"I wouldn't be rude Megan. Remember I'm your boss". He had a wicked grin on your face.
"But i don't work for you today"
"Don't get smart with me". That's when he crashed his lips down on hers. Megan squirmed and wriggled but couldn't get out of his grasp.
"WHAT THE FUCK DO YOU THINK YOUR DOING PAUL?"
"Taking back what's mine"
"I was never yours to begin with. Just leave me alone"
Megan ran to the checkout and got a taxi back to Richard's. Tears were threatening to fall down her checks but she kept it together till she got to his house.
She dumped the shopping in the kitchen and began to chop the tomatoes hoping that cooking the meal she had planned would take her mind of everything. But it didn't and the tears fell down freely, never seeming to stop.
When Richard returned home he saw that Megan was in the kitchen, her back towards him.
"Hey Megs, I'm back. Something smells good". He wrapped his arms around her and Megan flinched. Richard noticed that she had tensed up o he released his hands.
"Is something wrong Megan?"
She shook her head. She didn't want him to find out what Paul had done. She had heard that when he lost it, he lost it big time. She didn't want to ruin what the two of them had begun.
"Megan, please tell me what's wrong. I can tell something is up". Great she thought. He can already read me.
Richard turned her around and saw her eyes were red and puffy. She had obviously been crying. Immediately Richard pulled her into a hug.
"Oh Megan. What happened today. Have I done something?"
"No, god no. It's nothing to do with you"
"Then please tell me what's wrong. I hate seeing you like this and I can't help but worry"
"I just bumped into someone in town. That's all"
"Who"
"Do you remember my boss Paul?"
Richard pulled away and looked at her with concern. "Yes. What did he do. Did he hurt you. I swear to god if he laid a finger upon you..."
Megan cut him off.
"No he didn't hurt me Richard. He's just jealous of us"
"That can't be the only reasons as to why you were crying."
"Okay. Lets just sit down and I'll tell you"
They sat down and Richard pulled Megan on to his lap. He felt like he should wait for her to start speaking and she did.
"I was at the grocery store buying ingredients. I wanted to make you a special dinner and I had this feeling like someone was watching me. Just as I was finished getting everything when he stepped out. He grabbed my arm and said that I was his. I never was, honestly Richard. I have no feelings for him". Richard held her tighter. It was comforting to her.
"Then he, he...kissed me and wouldn't let me go." At this point the tears were flowing freely. Richard's jaw dropped.
"OMG Megan" he kissed her temple.
"I managed to slip free and got back here and started with the dinner."
Richard stopped her talking by pressing a kiss to her lips. It was filled with love but also a small hint of anger and frustration.
"I'm so sorry Megan. He needs to be reported. He can't continue to do this. Who knows that he could do to you"
Richard soothed Megan by rubbing her back and whispering sweet nothings in her ear. That's when they smelt burning. Megan jumped up and sorted out the burning dinner, Richard followed behind her.
"Dinners ready". Megan placed a bowl of homemade tomato pasta with garlic bread and salad down. As the tucked in Richard praised her for wonderful cooking.
"I didn't realise you were this good at cooking. That's was delicious"
"Thank you Richie but we're not done yet. Can't finished a meal with dessert"
She went a fetched the chocolate tort that was big enough for both of them to share.
"Mm yummy" mumbled Richard.
They were taking it in turn to feed each other. Soon enough the tranquil was broken when Megan had to go home. Much to Richard's protest Megan refused to stay as she had to check up on things.
So Richard dropped her off at home making sure that she was safe and okay. A final good bye kiss was shared at the front door which was not easily broken until Richard said he had to get back.
The next morning Megan went to work and handed in her notice. As much as she loved working with Charlotte, she could barely speak to Paul let alone make eye contact. It was just too awkward. Paul did her best to convince her to stay but she wouldn't.
A few months later Megan and Richard were still going strong and Richard asked her if she would move in with him. Megan gladly excepted and the next day, all of her belongings were at his. They were both madly in love. All that awaited her now was The Hobbit Premiere that was fast approaching. It would be the first time that she would be known as Richard's girlfriend and been to a major event with him. Although the public already had an idea who she was, Megan couldn't help but feel nervous. She had only ever seen those events on the tv and she couldn't help but notice how everyone looked like they were under pressure. The questions and the way they looked all added to this. Megan had her dress picked out and Richard hadn't seen it yet. She planned to keep it a surprise. And tomorrow night was the night she was dreading. The night of the premiere!
