Chapter 9- A Special Visit

I was staying with my dad as my mom, Tyler, and Kyle went to get something to eat.

Phone in my hand, I got a text.

From: Q
How's your dad?
To: Q
Alright. He needs to take it slow.
From: Q
:(

All of a sudden, I got another text message. Joe.
From: Joe
Heard about your dad... We're all sorry. Especially Q

The next thing I received from Joe was a picture of Q on his phone, most likely texting me.

To: Joe
Lol thanks :)

I heard footsteps, so I presumed it was my mom.

"Mom have you seen where the nurse put the me-"

It was Q. He came to see me.

"I thought I was the nurse." He gave me the cutest wink I ever saw.

"Haha. Funny. I thought you were my mom. I wasn't expecting you."

I gave him a long needed hug and a kiss on the cheek. My dad was asleep, so I couldn't introduce Brian at the moment.

"Well, when your going on your lunch break," he smiled for the pleasure of a joke, " I thought we could have lunch."

"I would love to."

"I can't get enough of those dimples."

I smiled again, this time aware of my dimples. I couldn't help it. He made me smile.

"I love you." It felt so right to say, and it felt so true.

"I love you, too."

We sat the rest of the time with my dad asleep, talking. Waiting for my mom to come back so I could clear my head and have lunch with Brian.
