Another of my favourite lesbian rom-com. I love it, it's cute, fluffy and heartwarming.
But although I love the main coupling, again like many other lesbian movies they have to cheat on their respective partners in the beginning. Both women are POCs so points for representation too.
Not going to lie some of its jokes are racially insensitive, but it is coming from characters who are supposed to be conservative. Also, why do these movies keep making the homophobic mothers such milfs? I don't know if I was supposed to simp for Tala's mom or hate her throughout the movie.
It ends with a heartful love confession which is really sweet. Definitely of the better wlw films of the era in which it was made.
