This film is a huge milestone in the Indian Film History for being the first lesbian rom-com. It's seriously huge deal in a country where being gay was decriminalized just in 2018.
I was pretty excited for the film but after seeing it I was pretty disappointed. Although it was supposed to be a "lesbian rom com", it became a story about a straight man becoming a successful playwright.
Our lesbians have very few scenes together and our lead lesbian has very toxic and misogynist family members. Although the film focuses more the coming out part but actual scenes felt bland and had no chemistry.
Despite all that I don't hate the film, I maybe biased because I'm an Indian and it's the first flim with major production to show any representation that I could relate to. It also helps that it had an happy ending so it was watchable.
