This flim has the same director and lead actresses as "I Can't Think Straight" and has done much better than I expected for a debut flim.

The story is set up in the 50s and beside some background characters almost all other characters are POC and it also shows the absurdity and viciousness of the apartheid system that existed during that time.

But the main focus of the flim is on the romance between Amira and Miriam and which was definitely enjoyable because the chemistry between them is impeccable. Although other scenes were also delightful my favourite scene between them is them flirting by exchanging Victorian Literature.

I'm usually upset when our gays are shown cheating on their already existing partner because I abhor cheating but with Miriam's abusive two timing husband I'm gonna let it go adding to the fact that they eventually get divorced by the end of the movie.

I was also happy to see that despite all the conflicts and problems faced by gays they get a happy ending especially it's a period flim.
