At first glance this may seem like another stupid teenage movie but it's so much more. It's based on three girls who want to lose their virginity at prom night and their parents.
The movie calls out parents on double standards, teaches boys importance of consent, focuses on female desire and agency while still being hilarious.
Each one of the girls have their own personality and subplot. One of them is lesbian and has her own coming out scene which I loved.
I would say the movie has a happy ending as there is character development for the parents while Sam finally gets to kiss her crush.
