Now I think about it, and the meeting was less awkward than I thought. He didn't make me feel weird about meeting him a long time ago.

"How are you, Y/n?" He asked with a soft smile. I smiled back.

"Good," I said. I forgot to ask him back but quickly after 2 seconds, and I asked him, "a..and You?"

"Doing well for now." He replied. He certainly became manlier from the last time I saw him. 3 years changed him into an A-lister sportsman. I don't blame him.

He kept his hands at the back but softly put forward his right hand for a handshake. Without much thought, I shook his hands. He kept it professional.

His physique changed. He had a broader chest and shoulders, a broader and sharper jawline. His hands and arms looked weathered and veiny. His skin glistened with a healthy tan. He wore a casual baggy t-shirt and joggers, yet it couldn't hide the width of his biceps.

Yet the handshake felt like touching a cloud. My brain was confused. Yet I wasn't surprised. I've hugged him before and held his hands before. He was kind and careful about how he handled a relative fragile person like me. Still a soft giant, it seemed.

Our height difference looked uncanny.

After a few moments, I heard Kuroo doing an "ahem." I could feel an aura of the people behind us, either confused or feeling suspicious of our relationship.

I wouldn't blame them if Kyla instigated the chemistry between Ushijima and me to others.

I quickly turned and gave a soft nod. "It was nice meeting you, Ush....Wakatoshi..." I corrected myself.

"Similar..." He expressed. His eyes followed my gaze later my movements as I went back to Kyla and others behind the trolley and luggage. I felt my cheeks becoming warm like a little middle school girl. For God Sake, I was almost 24.

"it's okay, and he is a bit intimidating, I guess you already know. Dont mind him..." Mr Utsui laughed aloud when I reached them. I realised Kyla and others must have explained to him how we knew each other from before.

I chuckled a little. Although I had many questions about Utsui and Ushijima being his son, I didn't want to dwell on it much. Time will tell.

"I am here to work, so keep dreaming, Iwa..." Kyla joked at Iwa. I heard them.

"Pfft...not work. We are here to win...the Olympics." Iwa corrected her back.

"Damn right we are..." Bailey and Tiphanie spoke together as they conversed with Hoshiumi and Hinata.

The surrounding conversations helped me recollect my priorities. We are here to win, and there's a bigger cause than me. I cannot falter.

"Ok, guys, let's help them with the luggage. The minibus will arrive here anytime. Daichi has sent a few of his junior officers for security. We must be good to go without much fan interruption." Kuroo instructed. Everyone started to follow help with each other. Everyone's luggage was mixed, and hence we needed to sort it out. The boys helped us with our giant pieces of luggage.

Iwa complained about why Kyla brought so many snacks as Japanese snacks are better.

"It's all hot Cheetos..." Kyla explained. Iwa rolled his eyes, and a laugh followed later.

Being used to be a little alone and shy, I tried to pick my luggage alone. I struggled with my luggage but managed to pick two up and put them on the trolley. However, the two biggest ones were impossible to pick. As I tried to bend further to pick it up, I see a pair of familiar hands picking it up.

Ushijima, with one hand-picked up and put it on my trolley.

I murmured thanks, but unbothered, he went on pushing my trolley now.

His eyes looking ahead.

"Let's go. The bus is waiting..." He replied stoically as ever. He remained unwavering with our meeting. As if nothing happened those last 3 years.

Confused and helpless, I followed the giant man.

"I can push the trolley, and you don't have to..." I try to speak, but words couldn't come out loud.

"You said something?" He asked, still looking ahead as we walked.

"I said you don't have to push the trolley ..." I reply a little louder, but it still sounded like a whisper.

"I don't have to, or you don't want me to?" He asked me softly but still maintained the seriousness with his bassy voice. His voice could swoon me anytime. I didn't want to lie to myself.

Nonetheless his straightforwardness: why is he so straight-forward. IDK USHIJIMA IDK...IDK THE ANSWER.

"Doesn't matter. Thank you for helping." I reply instead.

" You're welcome." He replied, eyes ahead, but a little curve on the side of his lips indicated he has softly smiled.

As we kept walking towards the gates, I realised how extremely crowded the airport was due to the Olympics. It made me a little anxious. Even Ushijima eyes wandered to navigate properly without hitting the trolley onto anyone. People went past between us. I would get separated sometimes and then join him back. At this point, I was a little paranoid about getting lost and not reach the bus.

During this process, my heart softened a little as he kept looking at my side if I was still walking along with him or were left behind.

As I joined him back closely, he kept pushing the trolley but slowed his walking. His tall legs didn't help me, he realised this. He took tinier steps for me now.

"Y/n", he called with a little raspy whisper.

Nervously I hummed, "hmm?"

"Do me a favour.." He said.

Confused, I kept looking at him, wondering what he is about to say.

No words came out but ....

I got nervous as he took my hand.....while walking

and made it clutch onto the side of his shirt.

Clutching onto his shirt and him pushing the trolley with tinier steps, I was accommodated out of the huge crowd. Unlike 3 years ago where I had to run to keep up with him.
