The Plum Highness (JIKOOK AU)

CH 7 - Park Jimin

Jimin is making a pill that can prevent hallucination drugs. Assassins often use hallucination drugs to their opponent as a way to trap them. Even martial art experts sometimes cannot defend themselves because of the drugs.

Jimin wants to help them too as he is the heir of Plum Section. He spent a good amount of studies and research to finally make a trial pill. He is excited and pumped up with his creation.

He carefully watched the process of pill making and wasn't even aware that someone sneaked into his room. A man in black quietly watched him behind the partition before he put the box of Three-Leaf Crystal on the bed. Once he put it, he immediately disappeared from the room.

“Young Master, dinner is ready! Please, you must eat first! You haven’t eaten at all this day.” A maid calls for Jimin, pouts on her face.

Jimin smiles. He still hasn’t averted his stares from the furnace but he answers her.

“Thank you, Dan! I’m almost done with this. I hope it will be successful.” The silvery hair man said softly.

“Young Master, I know you are eager with your pill making, but please take care of your body more! If the Master knows you are like this, he will punish us for not taking good care of you.” Dan, the maid whines.

Jimin chuckles and sighs helplessly. He can’t let his father punish his people just because he isn’t eating properly. He values his servants and maids very much. He knows they are all only concerned about him.

“Alright, it will be done in minutes! I will eat as soon as the pill is ready. Just a little bit more.” Jimin pleads with his puppy eyes. Of course Dan is weak for her Young Master’s cute act.

“Then, this servant will stay with the Young Master until you clear the foods.” Dan said, standing firmly on Jimin's side with a tray of foods on the table.

“Humm,” Jimin said no more, eyes focused on the furnace.

About half an hour later, the pill is finally done and Jimin is more than exhilarated. He inspected the quality of the pill and he is very satisfied with it. He smiles to the ear and starts humming cheerfully.

“Dan, my pill is successful! Finally I am able to produce it. After this, people can use it to protect themselves from getting induced by hallucination drugs.” Jimin said to his maid.

“That’s so amazing, Young Master! You always work hard to study and help other people. We are so proud of you!” Dan smiles giddily.

“Now, Young Master should eat! You had promised this servant before! The food already turned cold. Do you want me to heat it again for you?” Dan continues speaking.

“Alright, alright! I can never win you! No need to trouble yourself, Dan! I can just eat that. I’m also tired of waiting more.” Park Jimin said softly.

The maid sighed before she served his young master on the dining table inside his chamber swiftly.  Jimin eats his dinner until he is full. When he is done, he dismisses all of his servants including Dan as he is preparing to bed.

After he changed his clothes to his sleeping robe, Jimin walked to his bed when he saw a box on it. He frowned and tilted his head a bit, confused.

“What is this? Where does this box come from?” He asked himself, puzzled.

Jimin takes the box, caresses it and opens it carefully. When he saw what’s inside, he gasped. He is beyond shocked and stunned.

“T-this…” Jimin has no words. He is speechless. He can’t even say out loud what is on his mind.

He stares at the item inside the box, long and deep. He can’t help thinking who is giving him the most valuable thing to him? He can only think of one person who always secretly finds those rare and special herbs that he had difficulties to get.

His eyes shone brightly as he saw a letter attached beside the magical flower. He gladly opens it and reads the content.

To Park Jimin

This Three-Leaf Crystal is for you. Forgive me as the other pair of the flowers had been stolen by some idiot. I’ll retrieve it for you as soon as possible. Please make it do with this one first until I got the other one back for you.

I hope this flower will help you find the cure to your poison although you are already gorgeous enough with that pair of eyes. You are the most beautiful person I’ve ever met. Knowing that you desperately study about the way to detoxify that poison in your body earnestly, I’ll always support you and give everything I have to help you.

Please, don’t give up and keep going. Leave the searches for any kind of rare herbs to me. I’ll fetch it for you.

“JG?” Jimin whispered softly. His cheeks flushed, his emotion was wild. He felt a lot of things and he knows he is in trouble.

This mysterious helper is so generous, kind and based on his writing, Jimin can guess that it’s a man. The helper is also bold and straightforward looking at how his writing strokes are. Jimin’s heart is filled with butterflies and he is nervous.

Three-Leaf Crystal is a kind of rare herb that has many useful functions. Even if he is the heir of the Plum Section, this herb is definitely not an easy task to get. Jimin is currently searching for his eye’s cure and struggling in finding the right plants to produce it.

The magical herb, from its root to its petals, all have it’s own values. Even it’s dew can also produce a good elixir to cure skin rashes. He is ecstatic as he had the full plant of herb in his hand. Now, he will not worry anymore about his eye’s condition.
Jimin knows that the herb has another pair as said in the letter. He can feel warmth in his heart when the mysterious man is willing to retrieve another pair of it for him. He wonders why this man is ready to sacrifice himself to help Jimin? He can’t think of any answer.

He then put the letter under his bed, kept the box of Three-Leaf Crystal in his wardrobe and went to bed. He thought that one day, the mysterious man will show himself in front of him and he can’t wait for him to appear. That night, he sleeps with giddiness and a nice dream accompanies him.
