One Week Later

"Neville, Neville wait!" I called in the hallway.

He turned but kept walking. I ran to catch up to him and caught my breath.

"Neville please, I know you must hate me but I want you to know that I haven't told him anything."

"So? You've been spending enough time with him obviously."

"Does that make me a villain?"

He gave me a look like he wanted to tell me off but he just kind of growled.

"Draco, as much of a jerk as he is, needs someone."

"And you don't think he's just using you for God knows what?"

"Even if he is, don't you think it'd benefit him to know that someone cares?"

"He's tormented me all of school."

"I know. I haven't forgiven him for hurting you or anyone else."

"Then why Millie? I don't understand, do you like him?"

I looked down. "I don't know."

"So that's a yes."

"No... it's-"

"Complicated, sure."

I sighed and looked at his sad puppy dog eyes.

"I'm sorry Neville. Have you told Harry? I get it if you guys want to kick me out of.. you know what."

"No, I haven't told anyone I've just been holding up all of my anger and letting it out on my pillow."

"Oh... well that's good I guess."

"I don't get it Amelia but I don't hate you for it. I just hate Draco."

I nodded. That was better than nothing.

"What about Jack?" He asked.

I shook my head.

"I'm not going to tell him unless I'm literally bleeding out of every crevice."

"That's probably a good idea."

"You'd be attending my funeral."

"Alright I get it Millie." He cracked a smile and I laughed.

"Uh oh speak of the devil." Neville said in a low voice.

Jack walked over to me with Maggie and leaned against me.

"Hey Nev, how's it going?"

"Uh fine."

Jack nodded and looked at me.

"What've you been up to?"

"Nothing that concerns you." I said elbowing him in the side.

Maggie smirked at me having seen the mark Draco so kindly left on my neck the previous week. She almost made me go deaf when she saw it.

"Following rules is not that hard." A shrill voice said.

She pushed Maggie and Jack apart and gave us a small evil smile.

"Boys and girls cannot be this close. Why are you all gathered here? Shouldn't you be studying?"

We all glared at Umbridge and she just glared back.

"Be gone!" She exclaimed.

We all murmured and scattered to our classes.

I sat down and glanced over at Draco who was slumped in his chair and twirling a feather around in his hands. He hadn't given me the light of day since the greenhouse incident. Maybe that was a good thing. I should move on and focus on school.
