Pushing through it

By now, the two girls had stood up and positioned themselves in front of the door with wildly different stances. Wanda just about kept her balance, whereas y/n held her arms out in front of the door.

With an inhale, y/n asked, "you ready?"

"Not at all, but let's do it." Wanda shrugged, standing slightly behind her witch.

As she let go of the large breath she took in, y/n pushed a force of her blue energy towards the doors in front of them and watched the damage it caused. The doors instantly shattered under the force and thus, the only thing between the stampede of agents and the two girls was gone.

However, they didn't have to fight the agents once they got out like they had expected. When y/n sent the pulse to the door, it also hit the hurdle of agents that crowded around it and knocked all of them over.

"Oh." She blankly looked down at them before turning back into the room and holding her hand out behind her, "come on." She gently encouraged wanda as she took her hand.

The two nonchalantly stepped over all of the guards that had been hit with the pulse as if it was nothing.
No further agents were immediately in the way of the two, but, even if there were any, it wouldn't have stopped them from leaving.

They made their way through the empty hallway and to the main stretch of the building, where they saw their friends spaced out around the room. Surprisingly, there weren't that many agents in the main room, but whatever ones were there were dealt with by Monica, Jimmy, and Darcy.

When y/n and Wanda had left the hallway, Darcy saw them and paced over to them, avoiding any of the conflict happening in the room.

"Hey, you're okay." She smiled with relief as she approached them, "don't ever turn off your coms like that again, okay? God, we thought you'd died."

"It takes a lot more than sword agents to kill us." Wanda assured her, looking up at y/n with a smile.

After smiling back down at wanda, y/n turned back to Darcy, "is Hayward still in that room?"

"No, I don't know where he is." Darcy shrugged, "when he got up, he left, I couldn't find where he went before you blew the doors down and sent every agent in the building into panic mode."

"Well, I kinda had to do that." She told her.

"I wasn't complaining."

"Your tone made it sound like-." She paused, then sighed, "nevermind. I'll find him myself. He couldn't have gone too far."

"Good luck." She smiled to her before returning to what she was doing.

Once Darcy had made her way back to where her and Jimmy were helping from, y/n cleared her throat and tightened her hold on wanda to begin walking to a safe space.

There were few agents, mainly standing by the door, that attempted to put up a fight, but none of them mattered - or that's what y/n thought.

All she was trying to do was to gently guide wanda to safety, but one agent saw that as an opportunity. He held up his arm which displayed a gun and aimed it at wanda before firing. The bullet was fired from the gun and sent piercing through the air directly towards the girls, and y/n saw it way before wanda did.

Impulsively and without any consideration of the dangers, y/n held her hand against wanda's head, shielding the spot where the bullet was charging towards. However, the bullet couldn't make it close enough to wanda's head until monica provided her own hand as a barrier. The bullet hit Monica's hand and seeped through her hand which had fallen to a gel-like state, before exiting and dropping to the floor at wandas feet.
