There was such a contrast between them, even in such a plain scene. Miyeon and Seojun had moved from the hospital room, walking over to the leisure area, sitting on a bench in front of the big windows.

They seem so different, yet the same. She's wearing a neat sort of outfit, a skirt with a matching cardigan and shirt, whilst he's wearing a hospital gown. He's slumped in the seat, immobile arm resting against his stomach, whilst she sits up straight with her ankles folded under her, arms gesturing around her.

Their knees brush against each other, and balancing upon them is the notebook that is so recognisable to them, but seems beaten-up and falling apart to someone else. In Miyeon's hand is a pen, and the pair seemed to be taking it in turn to write things down on the notebook.

Or at least trying to, in Seojun's case. But he refused to have Miyeon write for him, even if the characters he did managed to write were wobbly, far too big for the lines and barely even legible. He didn't want Miyeon to have to do anymore than she already did.
