Tommy watched Aphmau, Katelyn and Laurance leave the docs with the boat. They wanted to reform the Phoenix Alliance and decided to go look for some old friends.
Tommy decided to stay in Phoenix Drop because the bandits had been roaming around the recently rebuild walls. He wasn't sure if he was going to be Levin's guard or Aphmau's guard. It was going to be a hard choice to make.
He was currently sitting at the rebuild walls. He loved doing night shifts and did them often. He had grown attached to the nights after he had accepted the power Unknown had offered him.
Speaking of Unknown, Tommy hadn't seen her in a year now. It didn't bother him tho because he had never had any special relationship with her. Unknown called him 'son', but that seemed to be something all their kinds did to youngers.
A clank from the darkness brought him out of his thoughts and he turned around to see the Stranger standing on the path that lead from the gates to Phoenix Drop.
"What are ya doing 'ere in the middle of the night?" The blonde inquired from him.
"I just came to see if there were any bandits, but looks like I don't have to worry about it since you're already here," The Stranger answered calmly.
Tommy nodded and turned around to scout the outskirts of the forest with his eyes incase of any bandits were there.
"I don't see anyone there, we're good," He hummed as he turned to look at the Stranger.
"You have a good vision, don't you?" The Stranger asked suddenly, getting Tommy off guard.
"I-, well-, only during nights-," He managed to ramble. The question hadn't been one he had expected to get.
"You are not a human, am I right?" The Stranger continued.
Tommy hesitated. He started shifting around, moving his weight from leg to another as he tried to read the expression on the other's face, which wasn't really possible because of his bandana.
"Well... I.. I guess I'm.. Not a human.." He muttered quietly without facing the other.
"I see," The Stranger hummed. "That explains the weird glow in your eyes."
"What.?" Tommy yelped. He wasn't aware of his eyes glowing.
"The moon shines through your eyes in an interesting way. It isn't really visible, but I can tell that it protects you," The Stranger answered.
"O-oh.!" Tommy muttered. He wasn't exactly sure what the other meant by that.
"The moon lits up your eyes and shows everyone that you're protected by its power. I have only seen one of your kind before a long time ago," The Stranger spoke.
"Do you know what I am?" Tommy inquired. Now he knew what the other was talking about.
His kinds were creatures that lived in the nights. Of course the moon had eyes on them. Now he also understood why Unknown called him her 'son'. He was a Dark Angel, or one The Moon's Children. (Also known as The Night's Children)
"I'm not exactly sure, but I know that your kind is slowly disappearing to the shadows. The one I met was already foggy and shadow-like. That's what happens if you stay away from the light for too long," The Stranger spoke knowingly.
"Oh.. I know someone who looks like that.." Tommy hummed quietly.
"Just stay in the light or you'll lose yourself in the end. You wouldn't want that to happen, wouldn't you?" The Stranger tilted his head.
Tommy stayed quiet. He didn't want it to happen.
"That's what I thought. You can still stay out during the nights and spend time in the shadows as long as you also get out during the days," The Stranger hummed.
