- After hours and hours of screaming, Vonika's suffering has finally ceased. The god and his lapdog, Mercer, stood outside the door. Both their faces, adorning twisted smiles -

"You think she's ready?" Ares asked, looking at Mercer. The latter nodded, and they both entered. Ares was about to commend the butler for his service, but he was nowhere to be found.

- The room was eerie. It was quiet... too quiet. The bed was covered by red drapes, and the two sighed in relief seeing Vonika's shadow, meaning she's still present -

"Vonika?" Ares beckoned, walking towards the end of the bed. He called her again, but he heard no movement or even the sound of breathing. He inched his face closer.

- The blade of a scythe cut the drapes and almost Ares' head. Unfortunately, he moved back, only earning him a deep cut on the cheek. Mercer froze. He knew who owned a Bone scythe... but this one was different. Mercer ran out of the room. He can't kill him, so he'll use his minions -

"The Godkiller!?" Ares screamed in surprise. Staring face to face at a bone scythe. The scythe shifted the blade and is now located at the end of the weapon... like a spear.

- The wielder thrust the scythe

- The wielder thrust the scythe. Ares wasn't as lucky now, and the blade pierced his shoulder. He watched in horror as Vonika appeared to be the wielder, raising his body to the wall -

"No more suffering..." Vonika muttered. She grabbed her holy cross and started powering it up. Ares could feel the heat as the cross's light became more intense.

"Don't worry, Ares. I won't kill you. I'm saving you for the Godkiller himself." Vonika said, "But I'll make you suffer. Just as you did to me." She grinned, bringing the cross closer to him.

- Lucky for Ares, Mercer's mutations were there to save him. It quickly pounced at Vonika. Sending her and itself out the window, falling three floors down. The two other creatures followed and jumped out as well -

"Go get the guards and chase after Vonika! We can't let her go!" He growled, grabbing Mercer and pushing him out the door. He quickly rushed to the window, wanting to watch what will transpire.

- He looked at Vonika, killing Mercer's mutations with ease. She was about to run away but got surrounded by Ares' royal guards. They were the best of the best. Fully equipped with magic equipment from their weapons to their armors -

"You can't escape us, Vonika." He shouted with pride. Vonika simply glared at him and stared back at the guards surrounding her.

- He watched as Vonika once again charged up her holy cross. Once it's brimming with light, she raised it and brought it down with force. The light engulfed the area, blinding the guards, Mercer, and Ares himself -

"What the..." Ares spouted, staring in horror. As he opened his eyes, all his personal guards were dead. All their heads disconnected from their bodies. He growled and punched the nearby mirror.
