(3rd Person POV)

"If we were to use the Lizard Men corpses to create undead, they would only be of about the same level as those from human corpses. As such, there is no reason to insist on Lizard Man corpses." Ainz explains.

Cocytus raises his head. "In that case..." However he is cut off by Ainz raising his hand.

"However! It would be more cost-effective to use undead created by us than it would be to leave the Lizard Men alive."

Coctyus makes a sound of uncertainty, realizing his efforts were being shut down.

"If there are any other benefits, we'd like to hear them." (Y/n) chirps in.

"--Well, I..."

"--How about it, Cocytus?" Ainz says in reply. Cocytus simply lowers his head, having no other ideas to spare the Lizard Men.

"If you have nothing more, then you won't mind exterminating them, yes?"

Cocytus remains silent at Ainz's words. "I see. That's too bad."

"Lord Ainz, Lady (Y/n)?" Demiurge intercepts.

"What is it, Demiurge?" (Y/n) answers.

"My Lord, my Lady, what if we were to use the Lizard Men in a governability experiment?"

Ainz leans forward. "Ho, now this sounds like an interesting idea."

"Yes. The time will likely come when we will be handling different races and powers. I humbly submit that we ought to preform an experiment in governing in which we rule the Lizard Men's villages by means other than fear for when that time comes."

(Y/n) quietly thought on Demiurge's words, finding it able to accept the proposal. It's not like she can take care of any planning or government issues, that's more up Ainz's alley. She's more or less like a princess.

"A terrific suggestion, Demiurge!" Ainz praises.

"Thank you very much."

There's a moment of silence, only broken by (Y/n).

"We will then accept Demiurge's proposal, and instead of killing the Lizard Men, we'll rule them." She says.

"Yes, my Lady! My Lord!" All of the guardians reply.

Ainz faces Demiurge. "Demiurge, we're impressed."

"How can you say that, Lord Ainz? I am sure that you were already aware of my modest proposal. You were simply waiting for Cocytus, were you not?"

Ainz stays quiet for a moment. "Hmph, you give me too much credit. All I wanted.." He turns to look at Cocytus. "...was for him to display some of his own thinking, regardless of what it was."

"Listen to us, guardians! Orders are not things for you to blindly obey and carry out. You must mull them over a little bit before you act! Consider what will lead to the greatest benefit for Nazarick!" Ainz explains.

"Yes, my Lord! My Lady!" They all shout back.

"Now then, Cocytus, consequently, your punishment must now be changed." Ainz then looks at (Y/n), causing her to stare back.

She gives a smile and a nod back at him before turning to Cocytus. "You will govern the Lizard Men, and instill loyalty toward Nazarick within them. Rule through fear is forbidden." She looks back at Ainz with a, 'did I do good?' face, in which Ainz nods and.. smiles--?--at.

"As you wish." Cocytus lowers his head, steam coming from his face. "I, Cocytus, promise to work hard enough to measure up to the great mercy you have shown me, Lord Ainz, Lady (Y/n)."
