Fire Against Thunder

The night sky never had been brighter than at this moment when thunders collided with a blast of fire that outgrew from Hoseok's tail in order to counter the attack that was aiming at him.

Your eyes almost couldn't keep up with the brightness of the blast till it finally died down and you noticed that Hoseok was now at a close distance from the orange hair strange spirit that had appeared and messed up this night for you.

The two were holding their palms out, their right arms stretched forward and their faces having expressions of seriousness that made you think that their simple-looking move may have been more threatening than it may look.

It took only a brief breath for your thought to prove itself as a blast of wind grew stronger right before thunder tore the sky and engulfed the guy dressed in all black before it took the form of a huge sword that had small bolts of lightning swirling all around its blade.

"The power of a weapon depends on the person that is wielding it." Hoseok's voice beamed around the atmosphere in a mocking tone, bringing shivers to you and Yukio that was by your side, both watching in awe the actions that were taking place right before your eyes.

On Hoseok's hand appeared a big fan that was surrounded by colourful flames but all started from the red flames that had taken all over his right arm. The sight of him was so different from anything you had ever witnessed him before and somehow the unexpected and unusual to your image had left you with a hint of fear as well as admiration.

"Y/N, this is serious. He is using so many different types of energies right now. He is gathering the vibes of anything earthly he has ever mastered but his energy is still not at the same level as that unknown guy. He is slightly off." Yuiko spoke and you couldn't help but turn to look at her after her statement had managed to sink into your brain.

You stared at her for a moment but her eyes were glued ahead, worry visible in her face as in her orbs laid the reflection of Hoseok and while watching her like that, you couldn't help but wonder for a moment. How did she know all that? Could she sense their energy levels? And if yes, how was she doing that?

However, the collision of the two spirits that started their fight in closer combat made you lose sight of that thought soon and focus again on Hoseok who apparently was at a disadvantage according to Yukio's words. The thought only left you a bit anxious but from what you could see, his face was calm and his usual mocking smile appeared and reappeared on his lips as he countered the sways of that dangerous-looking sword that was releasing a lot of energy in every swing that took against him.

The two seemed like they were dancing with death in a tango pain, as their figures moved skillfully and quickly avoiding blows from one another while the atmosphere around them reflected the power that those blows held. The trees bent and shook so much that for an instance, you felt as if you were experiencing a typhoon.

You held into Yukio as tight as you could while trying to withstand the pressure that was being put in the atmosphere around you while those two seemed to not care much about what was going on around them.

Hoseok's flaming red orbs were stuck only at his opponent because he too was aware of his disadvantage. However, the reason he was being so confident about this fight and the reason why he had taken this duel, to begin with, was because he was not relying on the strength of their energies nor he was aiming to take a victory from this fight despite the fact that he had made it look so.

If there was one thing he was good at, after all, that was at tricking others. Manipulating them and making them think that they had gotten their way with him while in reality, it would be the opposite.
