Chapter 18 15 Men

I sighed as I took off my ball gown. The lasts guests have finally left at around 2:00 in the morning, Damon had left the ball first because of Abby, meaning Cameron and I had to stay until the last of our guests had left.

"Mmm time for bed" Cameron sighed wrapping his arms around my waist.

"I still have to put on my night gown." I laughed pushing him away slightly.

"I don't mind you sleeping like this" he smiled.

"Well, then Mr. Alpha lets go to bed" I purred.

"WAKE UP AUNTIE!!!" I jumped up at Abby's voice.

Opening my eyes, I saw her being held up by Cameron who just laughed.

"Let me guess, we're babysitting?" I sighed.

He nodded as he threw Abby in the air. She giggled before he placed her on the floor.

"No, up" she protested.

I laughed pulling myself out of bed.

"Please Uncle Cameron" she pouted.

"Ah fine" he sighed.

"I'm going to get changed" I smiled, going into my walk in closet.

"Can we go to the park?" Abby pouted.

"Of course we can sweetheart."

"Thank you Auntie" she smiled, bouncing down the steps.

"Can Mommy and Daddy come?"

"Awe honey I wish he could, but your parents are very busy today" Cameron sighed.

"Aww ok, can they come next time?" she frowned.

"Of course sweetie"

Damon P.O.V

"Are you sure?" I asked my patrolman.

"Not quite sir, they were moving very fast."

"How many men were injured?"

"6 of them."

"And the ohers?"

"4 made it without a scratch and the rest unfortunately didn't survive."

"Have the families been contacted?"

"Yes, they will be here this afternoon"

"Thank you Jimmy that will be all."

He along with the 4 unharmed patrolmen bowed. I nodded at them and wait for them to exit. Once they were gone i sighed kicking the door.

"WHY!!!"

This wasn't supposed to happen

What did you expect from someone as cold as him

I didn't think so many would die

That man is cruel Damon

WE LOST 15 MEN!

And we still have hundreds alive

But what about their families

Don't worry we'll get our revenge

Sighing I closed up my conversation.

My wolf was right we would get our revenge soon enough. A knock came from the door, and I grunted a response to whoever it was.

"Honey?" My neck snapped up to see my worried mate. 

I stood from my seat and pulled her to me. I felt her relax into my arms, as i did in hers.

"I lost them..." I whimpered.

"Oh Damon, it'll be ok." she whispered.

"But i lost 15 men... 15!"

I felt her arms tighten around me, trying to calm down my steaming wolf.

"And we will get our revenge, your sister will not let that stand and you know it." she insisted.

"Yes, I know Ana but it doesn't make me feel better. She's my little sister she shouldn't have to do this..." I sighed.

"How about taking a break, I heard Cameron and Madison were taking Abby to the park." She smiled warmly.

"Alright, lets try and catch up with them, i can finish working on this later."

Ana grinned and we exited my office. We walked silently through the walls as my wolf relaxed at our mates presence.

Make sure no one enters my office or my sisters I linked a nearby guard.

Yes your royal highness he responded immediately.

I chuckled almost positive he was bowing. Madison hated it, but I found it hilarious, its like a crowned changed their view of us.

"Let me guess, a guard?" Ana laughed.

"You know me so well my sweet mate."

She pecked my cheek and we exited the palace walls.
