chapter four:
a weapon for justice
┗━━━━━━━━━━┛

LEVIANA WAS IN HER ROOM, READING ONE OF ELIJAH'S OLD JOURNALS TO PASS TIME. At least that was before she heard faint yelling. A frustrated sigh escaped her lips, she slammed the book shut and followed the sound of the yelling.

"...The Harvest always seemed like a myth, a story passed down through generations like Noah's Ark or the Buddha walking on water, the kind some people take literally and some people don't." She heard Sophie explain.

They were speaking of the dead witches that Hayley and herself had killed the night before. "You can't go out there now. I need to gather the witches' remains and concentrate them. If I don't get to them before sundown, we lose the link to their magic." The Devereaux witch pleaded.

"Those witches tried to kill Hayley. I prefer for Marcel's Informant not to find anything that might lead back to us, to her, or to, you know, that." He said gesturing to Hayley's stomach.

Leviana rolled her eyes.

"You are all class." Hayley snarked which resulted in Leviana sending a grin her way, which Hayley returned.

Klaus had began talking to Marcel on the phone in the middle of Sophie's story, which Leviana found annoying seeing as she was interested with the story.

"Stay put and save the rest of your story until I get back." Klaus said as he hung up his phone and walked out of the house.

LEVIANA HAD BEEN TRAILING HAYLEY AND WAS LISTENING TO HER IN THE CEMETERY. When she found her voice she sped towards it to see her talking with the Devereaux witch.

"That was the most idiotic plan I have ever heard of." The heretic said, making her presence known. While other two women looked around the temple with a guilty looks plastered on their faces. "Two can play the follow game, you know. You heard Klaus. He and Marcel are headed right where you're going." Leviana tried to reason.

"So call Rebekah and get her to distract Marcel because unless you want to lock a hormonal, pregnant werewolf in a tomb, I'm coming with you, and wouldn't Elijah be upset if the baby and I died of Asphyxiation?" Hayley sassed, knowing Leviana would cave in and let her go out to the bayou, while Sophie just rolled her eyes.

"SO THIS HARVEST THINGY, TELL ME MORE." Rebekah pressed, just joining them after Leviana had called.

"Klaus said to wait." Sophie pointed out.

"Yes, He also said to stay out of the bayou, and yet here we are amongst the crawly, buzzy creatures." Rebekah pointed out. A bug had just flew into Leviana's face resulting in her letting out a yelp.

"I'm going to have to agree with Rebekah on this one." Leviana stated. "Bugs and I, we don't mix very well."

"We're here." Hayley said, staring at the dead witches. Leviana saw the bodies and laughed to herself, making the others give her a confused look.

"They look like walkers," She pointed out. The other women's faces only grew more confused. "You know, from The Walking Dead?" She looked around trying to see if they understood her reference, they didn't. "Never mind." She mumbled.

Leviana was staring at Hayley for a little bit to long, she came out of the trance she was in when she saw a tree with pieces missing and covered in blood. "Hey! Guys!" She called out. Once they saw the tree, they had been trying to figure out what had caused the markings when Sophie decided to speak up, "Is that a wolf track?"

"No, I think the bugs did this to the tree." Leviana said sarcastically. She opened her mouth to speak again when they heard a tree branch snap.

"Who's there?" Rebekah demanded, as she said that a pale, skinny man emerged from the shadows.

"What the hell?" The skinny man said. "Two originals?" He said in shock just before he sped away.

"We should probably call Klaus." Leviana stated, making Rebekah quickly take out her phone and dial Klaus' number.

Klaus had answered the phone scolding his sister while Leviana listened in. "Yes, and know that we've established that I am a failure as a sister, and a friend, and an Original, you should probably know that he's on his way to Marcel right now to rat us out skinny guy in a hurry, looks like he saw a ghost?" Rebekah said. Klaus had asked her for a distraction and she was on her way there.

"Hey!" Leviana called out for her sister. "Before you kill the skinny man, ask him if he's seen The Walking Dead! Maybe he'll know what walkers are!" The heretic smiled. Rebekah had rolled her eyes and sped away. She turned around to see Hayley and Sophie giving her deadpan looks.

"What?"
