Drrrrrringggggg~

Her eyes shot opened as the annoying alarm blared across the room, waking her up from her 2 hours of sleep. Sighing in defeat, she shut her alarm off and jumped off her bed to start yet another day in life.

It was another mundane day for her, the same routine, the same places and the same familiar faces she has yet to see.

College was like usual, annoying and stressful. The lecturers gave out assignments and her colleagues leaving early to skip their assigned duties, leaving her and that one mysterious dude who always seemed to be a loner. Thank God, no words exchanged since she was not up for any interactions with anyone.

Home... A few yelling of orders around by their parents towards each sibling, to make sure that they have done their chores. The usual outcome would be all of them were done but the girl had realized she fucked up bad when she saw the mountain of unfinished laundry waiting to be washed and dried. A different feeling this time.

Irritated and scared at the same time. When all the time, she would have been whistling half-heartedly and went to bed but that day was a different type of situation.

Strict orders are meant to be followed. She gets it. And now she felt it. As her 'punishment' for purposefully neglecting her chores, she was to carry a heavy loaded basket full of clothes and have to be done before midnight strikes.

Being a little merciful, she was allowed to finish her task at the public laundry which thankfully open for 24 hours. It was already night by the time she got there after she finished her assigned works from college since they all were due the next day. Struggling a bit with the weight in hand, she carefully made her way into the building and scanned around the area and relief made its way to her heart as there were many vacant machines that she can use. Not a lot of people and she was content with such a sight since there's no need of waiting and to be polite since she was feeling lazy to have interactions with people. Dragging the basket with her already screaming arms, she started loading the machine with the dirty clothes.

Putting the last piece of hassle inside the washing machine, she shut the door closed and went to get some tokens and while doing so, her eyes caught a glimpse of a stranger beside her, looking rather confused and lost as he eyed the token changer as if it was a mystical creature.

She averted her attention back to herself, reminding herself to mind her own business and grabbed few of her own tokens and left the scene and started the machine. Taking a seat across from it, she took her phone out to kill some time by distracting herself with random animal videos. She would leave at the moment but she's a worrywart and she just couldn't trust anyone to not touch her belongings.

While she was immersed with a video of a tortoise eating a watermelon, a sudden frustrated scream caused her to jump.

"GEUAGH! Why won't you eat my money?!"

Eyebrows creased in confusion with the choice of words, she looked up from her phone and glanced to where the source of the voice came from. It was the same stranger from before.

So he's still struggling...

With another attempt of putting his money into the machine, his eyes lit up when he saw the whole note was swallowed but to his disappointment, the machine spat his money back out, mocking his vulnerable state.

This is just sad...

Feeling a pair of eyes on him, he turned around only to meet an amused pair of orbs staring back at him. Embarrassed, he looked away quickly and sighed to himself as he was getting tired and almost 10 minutes of his time wasted on the good for nothing machine.
