Scarlet.

The breeze of fresh air was enough to make him smile in triumph, after being confined in a blank space, he was finally out to enjoy his live once more. He was told that he got into an accident and hit his head hard that he fell into a short comatose that took few weeks until he gain consciousness.

Though, when he woke up in that foreign place, something seemed very different. He noticed a difference with how his parents were acting around him. He remembered them being a bit bossy at times but during his process of healing, they never said any word that annoys him, surprisingly.

Shrugging the thoughts off, he think that it maybe due to the accident that got him thinking differently about them. Now, a paper bag full of groceries in hand, he was taking his time, taking in as much fresh air while walking towards his house.

It was a night before Halloween so he did some candy shopping for the children who's planning to go on a 'trick or treat' in case they happened to pass by his house.

Arriving at his apartment complex, it was eerily quiet for him that for the first time, he was creeped out. He remembered that every year especially that day, kids would be playing around and planning their outing but strangely, no one was around the hallway.

Except when he got into an elevator to his floor, he saw couple of people gathering on the end of the emergency exit, speaking rather loudly as if they were having an argument. Curiosity got to the best of him and he found himself walking towards them.

"Excuse me?" he called out politely.

The elderlies turned their heads at him, smiling politely in return.

"What happened here?" he asked, eyes scanning around the area for any out of the ordinary.

One of them then answered, "There's a rumour going around that there's a girl ghost haunting these areas and due to that, the kids didn't want to come out." she explained briefly.

Another elderly, a man interjected, "They really shouldn't believe this nonsense. There's no such things as ghosts."

And they started fighting.

Minho was smart enough to run before they could realize he was gone. A girl ghost? That's new... Eh, whatever... none of my business anyway...

He fell asleep in his living room that night, crashing at the couch, sleeping soundly until he heard a faint voice from a few metres apart. Eyes flickered at this, he was alert and looked around his empty room. He then realizes how it was raining heavily outside.

He groaned, annoyingly that his sleep was disturbed just because of the rain but then he heard the distinct sound again. It was definitely not rain. Instead now, he could hear it properly. It was a voice of a girl. Goosebumps rise on his skin as he felt the air getting colder.

Then, his eyes caught something in the shadows. A silhouette of a human standing before him, eyes glowing red as it stared into the boy's soul. Even if he was afraid, he was livid that his sleep was disturbed so his mouth speaks before even thinking.

"Whoever you are, I'm not in the mood to entertain you. Please, get out."

His words sharp and the entity seemed to be taken aback. Surprisingly, his method worked and the silhouette disappeared into air. He, too, was quite startled that the ghost- or whatever he saw, just take his words and leave.

Laying back onto the couch, his head suddenly started throbbing badly. It was not the first time he encountered with this problem. He blamed whatever that had hit his head during the incident.
