THIRD PERSON.
JUST AS PLANNED, THAT FOLLOWING FRIDAY was the perfect night for the club. It was overly crowded of people, the atmosphere was extremely lively and just as Kate had hoped, the five guys agreed to coming and so did Isaac.
And so when Kate arrived with the band, managing to make her way past security and the other underage members with their fake ID's, the group were successfully stood by the bar getting themselves a drink.
"I'm not really seeing the hype," Corbyn spoke to Kate, loud enough so she was just able to hear him over the upbeat music playing through the building.
"That's because you're not attractive enough," she shrugged, taking her drink from the bar that another guy had paid for, giving Corbyn a small smile before she took a sip.
"That's not very nice of you Kate," he told her as she soon rolled her eyes while watching the smile grow on the boy's face, "That should mean a compliment now."
"I am not giving you a-"
"Go on," he smiled, "Just one."
"No." She shook her head, "No, ew."
"But you're supposed to be nice this week," he tilted his head, "I'm waiting."
As she let out a sigh, Kate placed her drink back up on the bar before she turned back to the boy, folding her arms while she stared at him in hopes a compliment to say would come to mind.
"I think you're.." she began, the boy stood in front of her with a smile on his face as the other four guys were to the side of the room, closely watching the pair finally somewhat get along.
"Well?"
"You're attractive," she hesitantly said before forcing a smile onto her face, "Are you happy now?"
"I'm happy that someone who hates me finds me attractive," he shrugged, "That's an ego booster."
"Oh god," Kate rolled her eyes, "Now I want a compliment."
"That isn't apart of the bet we made."
"I do not care," she shook her head, "I need an ego booster too."
"You do not need any ego boosting," Corbyn laughed as Kate frowned before glancing around their surroundings, "You already know you're hot."
"I.." The girl began, but soon stopped before a small smirk grew on her face as she looked back over at him, "So you think i'm hot?"
"No," Corbyn quickly replied while shaking his head, "No that's not what I meant I-"
"Kateee," Isaac disrupted the pairs conversation, his arm wrapping around her shoulder before he looked towards the boy opposite her, his face slightly red as he scratched the back of his neck, "Is this that boyfriend of yours?"
"Uh, yeah." She nodded, looking up at him, "Yeah this is Corbyn."
"The guy that took you home, I remember." He sighed slightly, holding his hand out for Corbyn to shake, "I'm Isaac."
"Corbyn," he smiled slightly, shaking the guy's hand before looking over at his band mates and taking a few sips of his drink.
While the three of them were stood in a now awkward silence, Kate looked across the room to notice one of her friends, quickly placing down her drink as Isaac glanced over at it, something Corbyn soon spotted.
"I didn't know Sophia was here," she said, moving herself out of Isaac's grip before rushing off to where her friend was, leaving the two guys alone.
And while Isaac watched the girl run off, Corbyn moved her glass closer to him and harder for Isaac to reach without it being noticeable before he let out a small sigh.
"So," Isaac said, "How did you meet?"
"School," Corbyn nodded, "We're school friends."
"College?"
"Yeah.." the boy lied as he shrugged.
"That's weird," Isaac mentioned, looking back at him as he leant one arm on the bar, "She's a college dropout."
"We met in elementary school," Corbyn explained, "Went to the same college but we uh, both dropped out.."
"Alright," Isaac slowly nodded as Corbyn slightly smiled, "You know the thing is about Kate.. she's not exactly the type for commitment."
"Okay.."
"She'll do this thing where she'll try hook you in with her charm, mess with your feelings a little and then she'll throw you to the side when someone new comes along," he explained.
"Yeah well I don't-"
"Trust me, I've fallen for it three times now." Isaac interrupted him as Corbyn nodded, "I'm just warning you, that girl is a walking red flag."
"Thank you but I think I'll be alright." Corbyn told him, watching Isaac's face fall as he raised his eyebrows.
Isaac rolled his eyes before stepping closer to the boy opposite him, a look of annoyance growing on his face as Corbyn stayed in the same spot he was before, unable to find any part of him intimidating.
"I'm sure plenty of other girls would love to be your fake girlfriend for the media," he said as Corbyn's small smile fell before looking over at Kate, "So why don't you get her fired and find another pretty face to give you attention."
"It was her decision not mine," Corbyn mumbled, a look of disappointment appearing on him as he frowned, knowing the girl had told someone she was not supposed to about the purpose of them together.
"Find another girl," Isaac said, grabbing Kate's drink before backing away from the boy, "Or I'll get her fired myself."
He nodded, walking past Isaac and over to his bandmates as Isaac made his way to where Kate was standing.
"He looks scary," Jack said.
"He thinks he is," Corbyn replied, "Didn't work for me."
"What did he say?" Jonah asked him.
"He uh.. he just asked how I know Kate." He shrugged.
"This club isn't my thing," Zach said, looking over at Kate and Isaac, "And she's now leaving with that guy."
"Didn't she have a few drinks?" Daniel looked at Corbyn.
"Uh, yeah but she's sober enough to be smart about what she does so.." Corbyn replied, receiving a nod from the four of them, "I hope anyway."
And as Corbyn looked towards the pair now leaving the club, Isaac's hands tightly holding onto the girl while guiding her out of the club and talking to her, he let out a sigh before folding his arms, shaking it off and continuing with his not so fun night.
