THIRD PERSON.
"IS A PICNIC THE FIRST THING YOU THOUGHT OF?" Corbyn asked, him and Kate on the way to the rooftop of her apartment complex as she nodded, "this is romantic shit and I thought you didn't like romantic shit."
"I do like romantic shit." Kate said as she stopped and turned around to face him, "just with the right person, but this is just for instagram."
"Just?" Corbyn raised his eyebrows as she nodded, rolling her eyes before opening the door that led to the rooftop, "this is a lot to do just for instagram."
"Randy was the one who suggested it, not me."
"He meant just going to each other's homes." Corbyn said, "not a fucking picnic."
"Okay then let's go back to my apartment and we can-"
"No we're here now." He shook his head, pushing her away from the door as they found a spot on the roof and laid the blanket down.
As Kate placed their small variety of food onto the blanket, the pair sat down and both looked over at the sunset that was occurring during their picnic, sitting in silence while doing so.
Yet for some reason, the silence didn't feel awkward. It had felt more comfortable than what either of them were used to but neither of them felt brave enough to mention it, and so Kate sighed as she grabbed her phone.
"Don't put my entire face in it because that'll just give the game away." Corbyn shrugged, "It'll make it look like we're dating."
Kate paused before furrowing her eyebrows, turning her head to look at him, "are you stupid?"
"Why?"
"That's the entire point."
"Oh right." Corbyn nodded, "but I look bad tonight."
"That's nothing new." Kate shrugged, "you always look bad with that blond hair."
"You can't hate my blond hair that much." He stared at her confused, "and I have a beanie on."
"I can still see the blond." Kate said as she shuffled towards him.
"You fix it then if you hate it that bad." He rolled his eyes, watching her nod once before moving over to the boy and going onto her knees, grabbing his beanie, "move to the side a little."
"Why?" Kate asked, "I'm fixing your beanie."
"Yes but I don't want to stare at your body while you do it." Corbyn shrugged, "that makes it awkward."
"I'll make it even more awkward if you keep complaining." Kate told him with a small smile, "just let me try make you look a little better."
"You can't make this more awkward." He mumbled.
"If you say so." Kate replied, moving one leg over the boy to where she was now straddling him as she continued fixing his beanie, "more awkward?"
"I uh.." he went quiet, a very obvious shade of red on his face as Kate looked down at him from his beanie.
"Anyway." Kate said, moving off the boy as she grabbed her phone again, "the photo."
"Uh, yeah." He slowly nodded, scratching the back of his neck as Kate looked over at him confused, "what?"
"You're just acting different." Kate shrugged, "as soon as I did something very harmless."
"I just wasn't expecting it."
"Thought you would seeing as you think I'm such a whore." Kate mentioned as she frowned slightly, watching him shake his head.
"I don't think of you like that." Corbyn said, "I said those things out of pure anger. To try get a reaction out of you."
