THIRD PERSON.

WHILE KATE WAS STILL SLEEPING THE NEXT MORNING, Corbyn walked through to the kitchen to grab himself a glass of water in attempts to wake himself up.

Rubbing his eyes as he walked to their fridge, he stopped once he stood a few feet away from the worried roommate stood in the small hallway and fiddling with her rings, a frown on her face as she looked at Corbyn.

"Hi." Evie mumbled.

"She's still asleep." Corbyn shrugged, continuing to walk to the kitchen as Evie followed him.

"I was going to talk to you last night about it but when I looked through the gap in her door you seemed too cosy to bother," she explained as the boy looked to her confused, "...you were mumbling things to her so i just.. i left it for the night."

"Oh, right." He nodded, "what did you want to talk to me about?"

"Do you know what Isaac said?"

"I have no idea." Corbyn frowned as he shook his head, "I walked over and then she wanted to go home and invited me to stay the night. But she was holding my hand pretty tight and seemed very quiet."

"Yeah uh, you know I think this time she has fully ended it with him, so you've just got to let her go through that whole break up process." Evie told the boy.

"Yeah." He shrugged.

"But that's a good thing." Evie raised her eyebrows with a small smile, "i'm glad she stepped away from that mess, it's going to be beneficial for her."

"What do you mean by break up process?" Corbyn turned to fully face her as he leant against their kitchen counters, "is that a bad process for her or is it not too bad?"

"She's not good with break ups." Evie frowned, "she sees them as like.. the end of the world, but it could depend on the person."

"Oh." He paused, "...okay."

"Anyway I need to go finish getting ready for work," Evie sighed as she folded her arms, making her way back to her bedroom before she decided to stop and look back at him, "Corbyn."

"Mhm?"

"Thank you for taking her home." She gave him a small smile, quickly walking off to her room and closing the door behind her as Corbyn sighed before smiling.

Deciding to make the girl a coffee, Corbyn soon took his water and her hot drink into Kate's bedroom, placing it on the table beside her bed while she was half asleep and spread out across the bed.

"Katelyn." He broke the silence, standing beside her bed as the girl responded with nothing but a shrug, "can you please move so i can get back into bed?"

"No." She replied while Corbyn raised his eyebrows slightly, letting out a huff before wrapping his arms around her waist and moving her slightly to the side so he could squeeze on at the end, "Corbyn."

"Relax," he laughed slightly, "now you can go back to sleep."

"I can't because you've moved me." Kate argued as she sat herself up, looking to the boy who had a smile stuck on his face, "and you're smiling about it."

"Because you're upset when you still have half of the bed," he gestured to her side, "I can move over more if you want - why are you angry?"

"You're being a dick." She looked at him and shrugged, tears clear in her eyes before she wiped them with the sleeve of the boy's sweatshirt that she was wearing, "I was comfortable and you moved me."

"...did that upset you?" Corbyn asked with a frown, "I was going to suggest a cuddle but.. i'm sorry."

"You didn't have to smile afterwards." She frowned, the tears rolling down her face while Corbyn only proceeded to get more and more confused, "I'm not in the mood to joke around."

"Okay, i'm sorry." He held his hands up in defence, "would you like to cuddle Kate?"

"Mhm," Kate mumbled as the boy held his arms open for her, "but I just ruined the-"

"You didn't ruin anything." He shook his head, nodding to the spot beside him, "we're still fine."

"Sorry," she sighed, shuffling over to the boy before she cuddled up to him and wiped away the last few remaining tears still on her face, "i'm sorry."

"Don't worry." Corbyn softly spoke, wrapping his arms around her, "Do you need to do anything today?"

"No, do you?"

"No," he shook his head, "i'm happy to stay here for as long as you need me."

"That'll be a while." Kate said with a small smile, "if that's okay."

"It'd be okay." He told her.
