THIRD PERSON.

CORBYN WALKED INTO THE MEETING ROOM A LITTLE later than planned the morning after the band returned from New York. He immediately walked over to his seat and sat down beside Daniel, noticing Kate's chair was empty.

"Before you ask, I don't know where she is either." Daniel told him, a frown on his face as the others nodded, "none of us do."

"This is getting a little bit weird." Corbyn laughed slightly, "i don't like the gut feeling I have."

"Boys." Randy said as he walked into the room with Jon following behind him, closing the door to the room as he let out a sigh, "thank you for coming to this meeting, although it does mainly just concern Corbyn."

"Oh." Corbyn mumbled, glancing to the others as they shrugged, "why me?"

"I thought having all of you here would give you all a chance to get to know this person and get along with them," Randy explained as Jon had his hand on the door handle, "Whilst we were in New York things got a little messy across socials."

"We had to reevaluate who we were having in our team and some people had to go," he continued as Jonah had began to catch on, his face falling as he looked to Corbyn.

And as Jon opened the door, in walked a girl that the five of them had never met, a smile on her face as the colour on Corbyn's face quickly drained, "this is Ellie, she'll be Corbyn's fake girlfriend."

"Hi." Ellie said, not receiving a response as the five of them stared at her in shock and confusion, all of their arms folded before Corbyn moved his eyes to Randy.

"Ellie can you step outside for a moment?" Randy asked, receiving a small nod whilst Jon followed her out of the room, closing the door behind them, "you are supposed to greet her."

"Where's Kate?" Daniel asked.

"She's not coming back." Randy replied.

"Why?" Jack asked.

"She exposed the fake dating last week." He explained, "so I had no choice but to fire her."

"...that's impossible." Zach mumbled, furrowing his eyebrows as the four nodded, "we didn't have our phones last week."

"Well she found a-"

"Impossible she was always with me." Corbyn shook his head, "what's the real reason?"

"That is the real reason." He told them, "Ellie is much more trustworthy for this and you're going get along with her."

"So can we still be friends with-"

"I don't want any contact with Kate." Randy shook his head, interrupting Jack's question as they all frowned, "we should've known she was bad news after the billboard situation, no contact with her."

"Now, I'll let you guys talk about this for a minute or two." Randy sighed, walking out of the room and closing the door while the five sat quietly for a moment.

With them all staring at a chosen wall in confusion, trying to piece together how she would have exposed something despite not having any access to her socials, Zach was the first to shake his head and look at them all, "there's no way."

"She didn't have any access to social media." Jack looked at them all, "she didn't expose shit, she wouldn't do that."

"I don't want another fake girlfriend." Corbyn sighed, "Kate was perfect, I doubt she'd just expose the whole plan and make herself lose her job."

"I don't want to be rude," Daniel spoke up, "but I don't want to befriend Ellie, I liked Kate."

"Yeah, we all got along with Kate." Jonah frowned, "she was such a fun distraction from work."

"I'm the one who has to go on stupid dates with her and shit." Corbyn shrugged, "I'm not doing that."

"He won't let you refuse." Jack shook his head, "you just have to get over it and-"

"Get Ellie fired." Corbyn nodded.

"..No?" Zach tilted his head.

"I don't care what he says I'm keeping contact with Kate." Jack shrugged as he folded his arms, "she's funny as hell, we have the same humour."

"Yeah and she always has the worst ideas that somehow end up being the most fun." Daniel nodded, "I'm keeping contact too."

"But Randy-"

The group was interrupted by the door being opened once again, Randy and Ellie walking in as Jon had suddenly disappeared from their meeting. And with a smile on Ellie's face, she sat herself down in the seat Kate used to sit in, noticing the obvious frown on Corbyn's face.

As Randy left the room once again, the five boys turned themselves towards the girl, watching her eye's widen a little bit as her hands fell into her lap.

"Hi," she spoke up.

"I'm Jonah." Jonah told her, "and that's Zach, Jack, Daniel and that one there is Corbyn."

"The one I'll be fake dating." Evie nodded.

"Emphasis on fake." Corbyn raised his eyebrows, "let's keep it that way."

"I was going to." She slowly nodding, watching him roll his eyes before standing up and walking out of the room.

"He's just tired." Daniel lied, giving Ellie a small smile, "jet lag."

"Oh.. right." Ellie laughed slightly, nodding as she fiddled with her bracelet.

With the group sat in the room in an awkward silence, Corbyn was busy walking through the building to find where Randy had located himself since leaving them alone with Ellie.

"Randy." Corbyn called out, standing beside his manager who was pouring a coffee, "Kate had no way to-"

"I'm not arguing about this." He shook his head.

"Why have I gone straight into another girlfriend?" Corbyn asked, "that's so sketchy to the fans."

"So they don't see her as a fake date plan and more of a small fling." Randy explained, "you'll forget about Kate in a week's time, Ellie is much more better and you'll get along much nicer too."

"I don't want-"

"It's not up for debate Corbyn." He said, walking away from the boy, "Kate did what she did and now she has the consequences for it, it's nothing to worry about with you, she's gone now and I don't want any contact with her."

"Okay..."
