"Wow, nice outfit."
Jaehyun wanted to smack Haechan the second the comment left his mouth but kept it in. He definitely wasn't a fan of the jacket he was trying on, and was going to ask his father to change it as soon as possible.
"I don't need your sarcasm." Jaehyun replied, slipping the jacket off and passing it to the servant. He moved towards the two males watching him, both with intense eyes.
"He's just jealous that he can't get a date." Xiaojun told him. "Don't mind him, he's too busy bickering with Sona to see the potential between the two of them."
"Hey, not like he likes his date either." Haechan retorted. "In fact, I'm pretty sure he hates her with a burning passion."
Xiaojun's eyes changed, glancing over at Jaehyun. "Your parents are still trying to set you two up?"
"Pfft, you know they already exchanged engagement rings, right?" Haechan scoffed, a smirk on his face. "He just doesn't wear it and she doesn't either."
"Wow, your parents are really pushing for this, aren't they?" Xiaojun said with a laugh. "Guess they couldn't trust you to find your own partner."
Jaehyun held in his urge to punch both of them as hard as he could, hands over the handle of his sword.
No, it's not worth it.
Jaehyun glanced over at the girl quietly sitting beside her twin brother, who was staring back at him. You look handsome, Haesoo mouthed. Jaehyun smiled, the small words of reassurance calming him down for a moment.
"I mean, can you blame them? Jaehyun's fiancé is pretty high up there. He should be more grateful." Haechan added, ruining Jaehyun's mood once again.
Deep breaths. Don't do it, you're better than them and they're just jealous.
"Can we talk about something else? Like the fact that we're meeting members of the light realms for the first time in centuries." Jaehyun asked, cutting the conversation.
"I don't know, can we?" Haechan said, smirking. It was clear that he was proud that he was getting to Jaehyun's head, the younger male leaning forward, forearms on his knees. "It's not everyday where you get engaged with the Princess of Ombra."
