"The picture on your desk," I hold it up to show him.

Before he could comment on it there was a knock on the door.

"Come in," he says still eyeing me.

"Um, Hi Mr. Smith, I'm looking for Belle," Jasmine said not seeing sitting in his chair.

"I haven't seen her," He said.

"She's fine Joe," I said getting both their attentions.

Jasmine looked at me with a bit of fear i her eyes, but once Joe turned to me he gave me a nod and went back to his lunch.

"Let's skedaddle to get out of Joe's thinning hair," I say.

"Watch it," he smiles slightly at me. "And before you go. At some point today you need to go to the music room to talk to the teacher."

We left after that.

"What was for lunch?" I ask.

"Oh, I got you macaroni and cheese," she said handing me a styrofoam bowl with a lid on top and a spoon.

"Gawd Damn girl, this is the way to my heart. Carbs and Cheese," I smile taking off the lid.

"I'll keep that in mind, but what about the way to your bedroom," she said making the f-boy face.

I stared at her with a blank face before I bursted out laughing.

"Wanna go to the music room now?" She asks me.

"Might as well get this over with," I sigh.

"She is actually quite nice," she reassured me.

"That's good at least because I can't get kicked out of another class. I'll have to resort to theater," I say fake gagging.

Nothing against theater kids, it just isn't my cup of tea.

Jasmine laughed at me as we continued down the hall.

Once we reached the end of the hallway Jasmine opened up the doors for me letting me into an auditorium. We walked to the back of the stage that had another set of doors.

"They really hide this room," I nervously laugh.

I was only nervous because I haven't taken a music class. I taught myself to play piano and if these kids are taught by teachers I'll be way behind.

"Hello?" I call out once we enter.

I threw my trash from lunch away because I was eating the whole way here and it was gone. To be fair, we took our time getting here and they didn't fill up the bowl.

"How can I help you girls?" A young, colorful looking teacher asked walking out of an office.

"Hello, I'm Belle. I was told by Joe to come and talk to you," I explained.

"Oh yes. Hi Belle, I'm Miss Quinn, but I feel like you are just going to call me by my first name, so I'm Marie," She introduced herself.

She smart. I like that.

"I needed to talk to you because I wanted to give you a little bit of time to prepare a song for a test. It's just so that I can see where you are and how I can help you. You don't need to play it in front of anyone else, just me. You have until Friday," she said calmly.

How is she so calm? Why am I freaking out? I never freak out.

"Okay," I nod quickly.

"Great, I'll see you tomorrow in class," She smiled then went back in her office.
