"What did you say her name was?" Ruthanne asked Savio.

"Her name is Belle. She's my sister," Savio tells her.

Her eyes widen at me again and mine stay emotionless.

"Are you feeling better?" Savio asks me.

He walked closer to me and saw Shit head.

"You have a dog?" He asks.

"It's her emotional support dog," Jessie tells him as he tries to snap me out of my thoughts.

I didn't pay attention to their conversation I kept my gaze on Ruthanne and she kept hers on me.

I slowly started to walk closer to her... I would say in not a creepy way, but it definitely was.

"Ruthy?" I whisper at her.

She started nodding frantically and started to cry.

"Belle," she cried.

"You made it," I say as she pulls me into a hug and starts to sob on my shoulder.

"Thank you for saving me," she sobbed.

"Saving?" Savio asks.

Ruthy pulled away from me and had the biggest smile on her face.

"God, you're so beautiful," she says as she touched under my eyes where I remember there being a black eye from the beating.

"The black eye didn't suit me?" I ask her.

She chuckled and shakes her head 'no'.

"What a pity," I laugh.

"How do you two know each other?" Jessie asked us.

We gave each other a look. She looked at me in horror of the memories and my face was emotionless again.

"We meant when I was 12," Ruthy starts.

"I was 10," I say.

Jessie catches on them looks between us in horror.

"Oh god," Jessie muttered.

"We only knew each other briefly. I meant Belle on my last day of being in France. And she helped me escape," she trailed off looking for a lie

"I helped her escape these dumbass bullies," I say.

"Oh... um, okay," Savio said. "I didn't know you were ever in France."

"Only for a month," she mumbled.

Oh god a month.

They got in a whole load of training in then.

What were they gonna make me do to her if I didn't save her?

She would've known the rules by then.

This has to be one of my worst lies, but he's not questioning it.

"I have to get to practice," he says.

"Oh fun, can I come and watch?" Ruthy asks him.

"Sure, what about you two?" He asks turning to Jessie and I.

Jessie looks at me with a pleading expression.

"Can we also join?" I ask him.

Jessie's eyes light up in excitement.

He's always been a fan of American football for some reason.

"I guess," Savio smiles slightly.

He walks past me and Ruthy and whispers to me as he walks by.
