He started to lean closer and my head slightly tilted to the side when my car's door opened.

"Are we gonna leave or not?" Alessio whined.

We quickly separated followed by me taking an extra step back.

"Oops," Alessio said once he saw what had happened.

Were we gonna kiss?

We were.

Holy shit.

"I, um. Bye," I quickly said as I held out my hand for a high five.

Austin hesitantly gave me one and I hurried into my car and Alessio got back in as well.

We drove home in silence mostly because I was just trying to process everything.

We got home and I parked.

Alessio got out and I just stayed put.

He waited for me to follow him inside, but once he saw I wasn't moving from my seat he walked over to my window.

I rolled it down and he leaned onto it.

"Look I'm sorry for interrupting what was about to happen," he apologized.

"I'm confused, Alessio," I sigh.

He looks at me strangely then got back into his seat.

"Why?" He asks me.

"I've never been this happy before. What if I'm just getting caught up in the moment? You know about some of my life, but their are parts that I don't want anyone to find out about. I don't want to drag anyone into this," I say.

Why am I spilling my guts?

"How do you feel around, Austin?" Alessio asks me.

"I don't know. It's like I can be myself around him and joke with him. He makes me want to be stronger, but also makes me stumble over my words and I never do that. I mean I was so nervous just barely saying goodbye to him that I gave him a high five after he was about to kiss me," I laugh at my idiotic behavior.

"I don't think you are getting caught up in the moment and I might not know you well, but unfortunately I've grown up near Austin and he's never acted the way he acts around you before," Alessio tells me.

"What do you mean?" I ask him.

"Austin has always been more of a hotheaded fellow. He didn't really hang around anyone besides his close group of fake friends. Over all he just seems like a better person," Alessio smiles at me.

I was about to thank Alessio for telling me this when Ezio leaned into my car through my window.

"It's getting late, get inside," he told us.

We nodded and went inside after I locked up my car and put the windows up.

"Thanks for that little talk, Alessio," I told him.

"It was no problem," he smiled at me.

We both walked up the stairs and went into our rooms that were right next to each other and for the first time in a long time I slept peacefully.

The past two days I've been trying to get Austin's attention, but he would just walk away from me everytime he would see me.

He even skipped first and last period just so that he wouldn't have to interact with me.

I got home about and hour ago after spending some time with Lucas.
