Anyone here familiar with TrollsTopia? Well, I've personally developed quite a love for it, particularly for Laguna Tidepool, the Antrollpologist of the Techno tribe. In fact, I've actually theorized about what her childhood might've been like.

Once she was first brought into her bedroom as a baby, she quickly fell in love with the plushie that was in her crib: a light-blue, silver-finned seahorse with a seashell-pink narwhal's horn on the forehead (pretty much a "seacorn"). She's named this plushie Whinny, and she secretly still sleeps with it every night (if she still has it).

Even as a child, it was quite clear that Laguna was very different from the rest of her tribe. Her parents both loved their daughter all the same, but the other young Techno Trolls would frequently pick on her by snatching her glasses, tugging on her pointy ears, and calling her "Lame-guna."

She was normally content with just reading her books and trying to avoid her bothersome peers (this included homeschooling herself), but as she got older, she started caring more about what they thought of her and wanting to fit in, to the point of trying to color her body with bioluminescent algae (which I think the Techno Trolls use to color their glow sticks), resulting in an allergy reaction (those bands on her arms might actually be scars from the rash).

Now I've got another headcanon that the braces (y'know, the kind used to straighten out crooked teeth) designed by Techno Trolls are always super colorful (just like them), and a young Techno Troll having them meant said young Troll automatically being considered "cool." Laguna (at the time) wanted to get them for that reason, but the orthodontist said that she didn't need them at all.

However, (some of) this insecurity would be brought to rest one fateful day, when Laguna was a preteen. She'd found a large and (seemingly) safe undersea cave and decided that it might be a (relatively) good place to do some reading. She swam inside, thinking that she was all alone... until a hyperactive male Techno Troll her age startled her with a greeting!

Young!Laguna: Oh, I-I'm sorry! I-I didn't know there was someone else in this cave!

Male Troll: Me neither, but now we're both in here together! Isn't this great?

Young!Laguna: If I say "yes," will you let me read in peace?

Male Troll: (laughs) You're funny! My name's Synth; what's yours?

Young!Laguna: L-Laguna... Tidepool.

Young!Synth: Ooh, I like that name! Hey, wanna check out the rest of this cave with me?

Young!Laguna: (starting to blush) Well... okay.

During the two's exploration, they ended up getting chased by a Sharck (a shark with razor-sharp, electricity-emitting teeth). When they were both cornered, Laguna, using a tactic that she'd read about in a book, quickly went underneath the Sharck and started rubbing the belly, causing the Sharck to fall asleep. With this, she and Synth were able to make their escape.

Young!Synth: How did you do that?

Young!Laguna: Belly rubs always make Sharcks sleepy, according to page 72 of "Evading Undersea Predators."

Young!Synth: You saved us with book facts? That... is... awesome!

Anyway, they both found some glowing rocks, and Synth decided to have his share used for a rave that night (and making a necklace for his mama). As for Laguna... well, maybe she would've used them to make a beautiful purple-pink necklace (plus maybe another one for her mom) and matching bracelet, which would always remind her that she deserves to be loved just for being herself.
