Disney Idea: Oh, Toodles!

Did any of you grow up with Mickey Mouse Clubhouse? I know I did, and I think I know a way that Disney could reference it.

In The Wonderful World of Mickey Mouse, Professor Ludwig von Drake makes one of his appearances, and someone says "Toodles" at some point. This makes the Professor either go catatonic or break down in tears, and when another character (probably one of the main characters' child relatives) asks about this, one of the main characters (most likely Mickey) replies, "That's the name of one of his old inventions."

This probably won't go any further than a one-off joke, but here's a way that a whole episode of Mickey Mouse Funhouse could bring his character back (I personally like his makeover post-Season 3).

Maybe a long time ago, prior to the events of Mickey The Brave, Toodles was somehow rendered inactive and abandoned in the Funhouse Forest. One day, however, a really bad storm (maybe a hurricane, maybe not) brews in, threatening to leave Funny destroyed. By some coincidental miracle, a bolt of lightning strikes Toodles' body, reviving him. The little robot hears Funny either crying out for help or screaming in pain and immediately rushes to the rescue.

Once he gets to Funny, Toodles would immediately start protecting the funhouse from any incoming debris, including falling trees. Once the storm clears, Toodles would repair any damage that Funny might've sustained.

Alternatively, Toodles could just live very deep in the woods. Either way, he'd come to Funny's rescue when the need arises, and the two would definitely become great friends (if not best friends).

As for Mickey and the gang, seeing Toodles again (if they do know him in this continuity) would leave them shocked to say the least. He may or may not remember them (the lightning might've short-curcuited some of his memory), but he'd certainly be happy to see them.

What do y'all think? Does that sound like a great return for the little robot? Please let me know in the comments below!
