The angels and demons in this story are based loosely off the angels and demons from Lucifer

Your eyes were fixed on the clouds above you, watching as they barely moved. Your body was present, but your mind was elsewhere. It was the feelings of uncertainty again. The feelings of unimportance and undeserving. There was nothing that prompted these feelings. But that was the case with all the angels who felt this way. They all just... stopped believing in themselves.

You were scared to follow that path. But at the same time, you had no idea how to stop. You could feel yourself going farther and farther into the woods of self-loathing but you were blind and unable to pry yourself away. You knew inevitably you'd end up like the others. Angels who lost their wings. You didn't want to lose your wings. But you couldn't seem to get a grasp on them.

Your father told you to lay down and let your worries fade, but every time you were still, your mind started racing and your heart started pumping. You tried emptying your mind but instead, it filled. You felt like you were drowning. The pressure, the responsibilities, the things you had to live up to. It was all too much.

Tears pricked your eyes as you sat up. This was the last straw. You didn't deserve to be an angel. You were unworthy. At least that's how you felt. You stood, head hanging as you watched yourself walk. Your bare feet were light on the ground, walking to the gates. You pushed them open, the tears now steadily falling.

"Forgive me father, for I have sinned."

You opened your eyes, a plain white ceiling protruding your vision. You sat up, looking around the room in which you were lying. You felt cold and exposed, which was reasonable considering your backside was bare and frontside covered by a simple flimsy gown. You heard a door creak open, turning your head to see a man walk in. He gave you a gentle smile.

"Ah, I see you're awake Mx. (L/n)." He said. (L/n)... You hadn't heard that in forever.

"Where exactly am I?" You asked. The doctor gave a gentle smile.

"Transient global amnesia, as I expected. You're at the Northwestern Dispensary. It's a hospital in Brooklyn. You took a nasty fall off the fire escape of your apartment building. You were able to walk away with just a concussion. Pretty lucky, if you ask me." He replied. You nodded before pulling your knees to your chest.

"When can I get out of here?" You asked quietly. The doctor looked down at his clipboard.

"Well, you seem to be recovering just fine so I think you can be back home in less than a few hours." He replied. You gave a small smile before laying back down, suddenly being overcome with a headache.
