"Pay attention (Y/n)! You're gonna end up hurting yourself!" Richie shouted from his bike. You rolled your eyes and pedaled faster.

"Jeez Richie, you worry more about me than Eddie's mom worry's about him, and that's saying a lot!" You shouted behind you. The others laughed as he scoffed.

"Why should I be ashamed of that? You're my partner and I need to make sure you're protected at all times!" He replied. You looked at him as he rode his bike next to you.

"Hey, keep your eyes in front of you! I wouldn't want my hotness to be the reason for you hurting yourself!" He called. You gripped your handlebars tighter. Yeah, he was just looking out for your well being, but he could be so embarrassing! I mean, can't he just look out for you in a non-motherly way? He doesn't have to be this exaggerated. Catching yourself in your own thoughts, your tire ran over a rock. The sudden bump caused you to quickly turn and in the next moment, you found yourself on the floor. You stuck out your palms to soften the blow but that only resulted in them getting scratched up severely.

"(Y/n)! Oh my God!" Richie shouted from behind you. You could hear his bike hit the floor and the sound of his quick footsteps. You grunted and lightly sat up. Richie kneeled next to you and grabbed your face, looking straight into your eyes. After examining your face for a few seconds he moved to your arms.

"Are you okay? Jesus, I told you to be careful!" He said and looked at your hands. You rolled your eyes and smiled. You rubbed your hands on your bottoms.

"I'm fine Rich, it's just a couple of scratches." You said and tried to stand up, but Richie held up his hand. You raised an eyebrow as he grabbed your wrists. He pulled you up and kissed both of your cheeks. The others snickered loudly.

"Save it for the bedroom, loverboy!" Eddie shouted. Richie glared and flipped him off, but other than that seemed completely unfazed. He wrapped his arms around you and kissed your cheek again. You laughed and hugged him back. So yeah, Richie was overprotective and extremely sweet, but you'd choose that over the asshole he was to everyone else any day.
