"Alright just, just a little to the left. Yes! Right there! Right there is perfect!" Beverly shouted as Ben stapled the last edge of the Christmas banner on Bill's garage ceiling. It was December, which meant the Losers were throwing their annual Christmas party soon. And by party I mean the Losers getting together and watching movies while eating candy until they pass out at 4 in the morning. Stan had to be present for every Hanuka candle lighting, so most of the time the date varied. This year, it was on the 21st. Ben smiled as he slowly climbed down the latter, satisfied with the banner that read Merry Christmas! (And Hanuka).
"W-Who else is missing?" Bill asked as he looked around. He silently took inventory of who was present and who wasn't. Eddie, Beverly, Ben, and himself, of course. Which left you, Stan, Mike, and Richie. He checked his watch before shrugging. It's not like you guys were late, the others were just early. Still, Bill could feel himself already wanting to dim the lights and start the Christmas movies. He wouldn't, but he wanted to so badly. He sat on a fold-out chair and kicked up his feet.
"Which movie are we watching, William?" Beverly asked and sat on the chair next to him. He cringed.
"W-What have I told you about c-c-calling me that? It's just we-w-w-weird." He replied. She laughed but before she could reply there was a loud whistle.
"Who's got some mistletoe because these two lovebirds could use a kiss!" An obnoxious voice shouted. They looked over to the garage entrance and rolled their eyes. There stood Richie wearing a hat with a string of mistletoe attached. He smirked and adjusted it.
"Like the hat? Don't get too close Eddie, I'd rather kiss a donkey than you." He said. Eddie glared at him.
"You're really disgusting Richie, you know that?" He replied.
"Oh come on, Eds. You know you love me." Richie replied.
"Quite the opposite actually," Eddie said in a snarky tone. As Beverly watched the bickering boys her eyes traveled to the mistletoe.
You know, I feel like a kiss underneath the mistletoe would be a perfect first kiss. A sweet tradition and if all else fails, you can just blame it on that.
She remembered your words exactly. It was poetic and something she couldn't forget. And then, it hit her like a brick.
"Guys, I have an idea!" She exclaimed. The others glanced at her.
"Okay. So, you know how (Y/n) and Stan are like so in love with each other but won't admit it?" She asked. They nodded.
"Well, I remember them telling me that they wanted a kiss under the mistletoe this year. We should put some up and then bingo bango! Problem solved!" She stated. Richie laughed.
"And why should we do that?" He asked. Beverly rolled her eyes.
"Oh come on. You can not tell me that Stan doesn't talk about (Y/n) 24/7 and now even just hearing their name come out of his mouth makes you want to grab a gun and end it." She replied. Richie glanced around before shrugging.
"Yeah okay. I see your point." He replied. There was a light sound of metal hitting metal a little bit away, causing them to look up. Mike was wiping his hands on his jeans as he walked towards them.
"Hey, Mike. Did you happen to see Stan or (Y/n) on your way over here?" Beverly asked. Mike's eyebrows furrowed.
"Um yeah actually, I did. They were walking together. (Y/n) said they needed a new bike chain so Stan offered to walk with them. They should be here in about five minutes." He replied. Beverly smiled.
"Perfect. Richie, pull that mistletoe off your hat and help me tape it up here. The rest of you, hide behind those boxes so they won't be able to see you. Hurry! We only have five minutes!" She shouted. Mike raised his eyebrows before holding up his hands.
"You know what, I'm just gonna do what I'm told and not question it." He said and walked behind the stack of boxes. The others followed in suit, knowing better than to disobey Beverly.

"Well, at nightfall, on the first evening of the Hanukkah holiday, we put a candle into the holder at the far right of the menorah as we face it. Then, we light the shamash, the candle used to light the others, and recite the three Hanukkah blessings." Stan said as you walked towards Bill's garage.
"Huh. Sounds pretty complicated." You replied. He shrugged. You reached the garage entrance and looked around. No one was there but everything was set up. You looked around confused but then noticed that there was everything but snacks.
"They must be inside grabbing food." You said. Stan looked around and nodded. You glanced up as Stan began to walk away.
"Stan wait!" You called. He turned around.
"Come here real quick." You said. Stan walked over with raised eyebrows, but before he could speak, you placed your cold lips on his. It was only about three seconds but you could still feel your cheeks light up and your heartbeat quicken. As soon as you pulled away, you noticed a look of pure shock on Stan's face. You gave a small smile before pointing above your head. His eyes traveled up and he soon realized what had happened. He glanced at you before glancing back at the mistletoe, and then back at you.
He looked around the room, assuring himself that no one was there. After he was finally content, he lightly placed his gloved hands on your cheeks and pulled you in. When your lips met, there seemed to be a fire that engulfed you. Despite the snow surrounding you, it was so warm. So enticing. And even though you had never kissed anyone before, you knew that this was what it was supposed to feel like. This right here. This amazing feeling.
Suddenly, there was a loud whistle.
"Slip them the tongue Stanley!" A familiar voice called. You quickly pulled away from him and saw the other Losers standing behind a pile of boxes. Everyone was either wearing sweet smiles or knowing smirks. You hid your face in your hands. Guess this is what you get for trusting the mistletoe.
