Marco's POV

"Of course not" I groaned and carefully followed the rest. I couldn't see or hear them anymore, but they couldn't be that far away, right? I quickly caught up to them and we came across a bunch of flowers. The girls and my parents passed them without any problems, but when I walked by, they turned out to be some sort of flower monster. They growled at me threateningly. "Uh... Uh...!" I stuttered, looking for something to defend myself in my fanny pack. Something made out of metal was in there, and I quickly pulled it out. It was my dilemma whistle. Not knowing what to do, I blew it. Luckily, the monsters sunk back into the ground at the shrill sound. "Hmm. It worked" I said to myself, the whistle still in my mouth. Of course, the rest of the group hadn't noticed anything and was long gone. To be safe, I just followed the path, hoping to find them in the near distance. As I walked through the forest, many kinds of monsters tried to kill me, but I managed to keep them away by using the different items in my fanny pack. I only had the hand sanitizer, the space blanket, and a miniature miniature book of knots. I now could hear the flashes of cameras and picked up my speed to find my parents and the twins, so that we could finally go home. Suddenly, the ground started to shake. I grabbed a tree so that I wouldn't fall. A big monster erupted from the ground. It stared at me growling and roared at me. What should I do? I slowly backed away from it, but it was surprisingly fast for its size. The monster quickly cornered me and I had no chance of escaping anymore. I could feel my sweat running down my face as the monster stared predatory at me with its big, yellow eye... Wait eye? I rummaged through my fanny pack and found what I was looking for. I took the hand sanitizer and sprayed the liquid into the monster's eye. It cried out in pain and ran away from me. I sighed in relief and quickly made my way to the girls, who were sitting on the forest floor. I decided it was only fair to gross them a little out after they left me behind. "Nothin' makes you feel more like a man than goin' to the bathroom in the woods" I loudly told them but didn't receive the expected reaction. Instead, Star pulled me down onto the floor with them. "Huh?" I asked. "We gotta go. Look. Our dad's right there" Star pointed into the woods and I saw King Butterfly with some knights pointing in a direction and saying "This way!" "It's not safe here either" Comet explained. "Let's just get your parents, Marco, and go home" Star decided. We all agreed and Star turned around to announce "Okay, Mr. and Mrs. Diaz, that concludes the tour. Hope you've enjoyed your..." she broke off as we realized that mom and dad were gone. "Mr. and Mrs.Diaz?" Comet asked. "Where did they go?" I wondered. We looked around until Star gasped and said "Look! Footprints!" We all followed them and finally stood in front of a skull-shaped cave. "Oh no" I murmured.

Comet's POV

We entered the cave and Star and I took out our wands to use them like flashlights. It was really warm inside the cave and steam was all around us, so that we couldn't really see anything. "Look! It's their stuff!" Marco exclaimed, and we walked towards the stuff scattered across the floor. Their belongings and even their clothes were there, but they were nowhere to be seen. Marco picked up his mother's wind chimes she had bought earlier. "But where are they?" Marco asked puzzled. A hot breeze startled us, and we walked towards it. Star shone her light upon a hole. She looked inside it, and she was suddenly breathed on. She looked at the blue, weird-looking wall, which suddenly opened its eye to reveal it wasn't even a wall - it was a hydra! It lifted its head and five more heads followed. It roared, and we started screaming "Let's get out of here!" Marco yelled, and we wanted to run to the exit when Star stopped us. "No! That thing ate your parents!" she screamed and pointed at the hydra's stomach from where muffled screams were heard. The hydra noticed us and snorted. "Look out!" Star warned and pushed Marco and me out of the way. One of the hydra's heads ate her. "Star!" I screamed, for once, in a really loud voice. No one messes with my sister! "Let her go!" Marco and I screamed. We shove our hands inside one of the hydra's nostrils and pulled Star out. "Super Rainbow Dolphin Slam!" Star and I screamed simultaneously. We blasted two of the hydra's heads. "There!" Marco pointed to another head trying to attack us. Star blasted the spell at it, and we quickly ran away. The hydra breathed its fire on us and Marco took his space blanket out of his fanny pack. "Quick under here!" We ducked under the blanket together. "Wow! What else do you have under there?" Star asked impressed. "I pretty much used up everything when I was schoolin' the Forest of Certain Death. Well, everything except for this miniature miniature book of knots" Marco said, showing us an inch small book. "So cute" Star chuckled before she gasped and asked "Did you say knots?" "Yeah, why?" Marco asked. Suddenly he understood what Star was meaning and we all jumped out from under our blanket. "Bet you can't catch me!" Star yelled. Confused, the heads of the hydra looked at her. She ran off to the left, while Marco made his way to the right screaming "Over here!" The heads decided to chase after Star, but I exclaimed "Hey, over here!" The hydra now looked at me. "Catch me if you can!" I yelled before running straight through the middle under its stomach. " No, come and catch me!" Marco distracted the hydra. The heads now split up and tried to catch each of us, ending in entangling its own heads. The hydra fell on the side, seemingly dead. We were silent for a short moment before Star cheered "Whoo-hoo!" Suddenly we heard a trumpet followed by our dad appearing on a cliff holding a spear and wearing nothing but a loincloth. He jumped down from the cliff, ready to challenge the monster, before he took notice of us. "Star?! Comet?!" he said surprised "My parents are still inside that thing!" Marco yelled. Dad cut open the stomach of the hydra, and we were met with a bunch of villagers. "We're free!" they cheered and walked out of the cave. "They're not here?! Quick, to the large intestine before they're fully digested!" Marco said, before we heard giggling coming from the cave. We followed the voices and found Mr. and Mrs. Diaz enjoying themselves in a hot spring. "There's nothing like a steamy bath after a long day of exploration" Mr. Diaz claimed. "Mom! Dad!" Marco exclaimed relieved. "You're alive!" Star said.  "Aaaand you're only wearing the fanny packs" Marco realized, embarrassed. Mr. Diaz noticed Dad "Ah, King Butterfly!" he greeted "Care for a dip?" He and Mrs. Diaz giggled. Dad cleared his throat and said "As inviting as that sounds, I need a minute with my daughters." He dragged Star and me off by our arms. "Ow, ow, ow, ow, ow" Star complained. "Girls, you know you're not to leave Earth! What are you doing here?" Dad asked us. We looked at each other with remorse. Star then explained why we were here, trying to make it sound not o bad. Then I remembered something. "Hey! Aren't you supposed to be giving some posture lecture?" I asked dad, accidentally interrupting Star. Now, dad looked nervous and stuttered "Uh, yes! W-We got a little lost. The directions were, uh..." he chuckled "It all started with fanny packs..." Seeing that his cover was blown, he admitted "There is no lecture. Being king is exhausting. Every once in a while, I need to sneak away and fight monsters. It keeps me sane. And it's good for my throne posture." "So I get my monster-fighting from you" Star said "Cool. ...Cool!" "I suppose so" Dad agreed and they started laughing. "Are you going to tell Mom you saw us?" I asked worried. We looked at Dad waiting for him to answer. "I didn't see you and you didn't see me. But just this once" Dad finally answered. Star looked at me relieved and we hugged Dad tightly. "Hugs" we all said. Then Dad said goodbye and Marco came over to us. "It's cool that you guys bonded and you got to see that side of your dad" he told us. Mr. Diaz walked over to us to get his stuff. Marco quickly covered Star's and my eyes. "I wish I hadn't seen that side of my dad."
