Ep 23 - Island of Darkness

The ninja have already reached the Dark Island. The ninja besides Kai, whose turn was to be on the lookout for the Stone Army, are continuing to bury the Destiny Bounty with sand to hide it from their enemies.

Kai ran back to them to bring them news, "This whole island is swarming with Garmadon's indestructible Stone Army."

(Y/n) sighs as he stops his digging and leans against his standing shovel, "That's really great. Glad to know it just makes our plan even harder."

"Ha! Don't worry. It's a good thing we're ninja and we know how to hide." Jay reassured as he proceeds to hide a wooden pole that was keeping the entrance to the ship open with a giant leaf.

(Y/n) looks back at him, "Glad to know you're optimistic."

Cole throws his shovel on the ground in frustration, "Who wants to hide when you can fight? I'm getting tired of having our heads buried in the sand. I wanna fight these guys."

Zane stops his digging and looks at him, "But Cole, they have no apparent weakness. It would be unwise to start a fight we cannot finish."

"That is why we must find the Temple of Light." Wu spoke as he steps out of the Bounty.

They go in the Destiny's Bounty, where the rest were at. The ninja sit around the table while Misako explains the scrolls, "The scrolls say there is a hidden temple on the island. If you find it, it will give the ninja pure elemental powers, powers that can destroy the indestructible army."

Cole was grinning from ear to ear, "So you're saying we get to fight? Whoo-hoo! I've got happy feet!" He exclaimed excitedly.

Misako turns to Lloyd, "And you, my son, here it is written: "For once the Green Ninja finds the instrument of peace, he will strike it and know the power of the Ultimate Spinjitzu Master."

Lloyd raises a brow at his mother, "Ultimate Spinjitzu Master?"

"It means you will be able to invoke the power of the Golden Dragon, an ancient fighting style only practiced by the First Spinjitzu Master."

Everyone looks at him with surprise and Lloyd looks at the ninja smugly, "Hahaha. Jealous?"

"No." (Y/n) blurted, mentally cursing himself for answering too quickly.

"Uh, wait a minute. This all sounds too good to be true. What's the catch?" Kai looked at the elderly.

"The catch is, the Temple could be anywhere on the island, and all we have is this." Wu reveals a medallion with three holes.

(Y/n) shrug, "At least no one is dying."

Wu gives Dr. Julien the medallion and Dr. Julien inspects the object in his hand, "A medallion. It's like a compass. When the three holes match up, the medallion will reveal where the temple is hidden."

Jay tilts his head at him, "Uh, how'd you know that?"

"Oh, I did a lot of reading in my spare time." Dr. Julien chuckles as he adjusts his glasses. "Adventure stories were my favorite."

Zane takes the medallion, "Then what are we waiting for?" The ninja get up and start making their way to the door.

Wu stops his nephew, "Not you, Lloyd."

Lloyd huffs, "Ah, seriously? Are we still doing this?"

Misako looks at her son, "Wu is right. If you were to come across your father, it could prematurely start the Final Battle. We need to be at full strength before we take any risks."
