The world was still, the earth was hard, and the faint sound of a hollow drip could be heard from somewhere. Eurielle blinked once and then twice, wondering where the light was- where was she? The drip had now become louder as it echoed off cold stone. She had been asleep on the ground, and from what she could tell she was in some sort of dungeon. Eurielle remained completely still but panic was beginning to set in. Her heart was racing and her palms were sweating. Where was she.
In a moment the memories came back to her. They had been taken. Where was Theo? Surely he was around here somewhere, maybe in a different room.
The room was small and the only bit of light in the room came from the barred window on the thick wooden door. Eurielle was left to assume her room was one of many along a torch lit hallway.
She slowly got up and approached the door, desperate to hear anything.
Drip
Drip
Drip
Silence. And then a scream from far away. Theo.
They had him.
"Eurielle?"
Oh God they were torturing him.
"Eurielle?"
She was next.
" EURIELLE!"
Eurielle shot up from her bed, drenched in sweat and chest heaving. Her gray eyes snapped to her door where she saw a wide-eyed Hermione, " Your mum asked me to get you up," she said with a frown, " Bad dream?"
The teen smiled, " No, it was wet," she said quickly, not wanting to explain herself.
Hermione's concerned frown was gone and replaced with a roll of her eyes, " Alright then come down stairs," and then she was gone.
Eurielle wiped the sweat from her forehead and buried her face in her hands, what the hell was that?
-
Fully dressed she hurried downstairs to see a somber breakfast taking place. Eggs, toast, and bacon sat on everyone's plate, untouched. Theo sat near her mother, obviously, like everyone else, comfortable in her presence.
She supposed her grandmother had that affected on all her children, made them nurturing mother hens, yes her uncle included.
Her mother smiled at her, " Good morning, maybe eat something or don't like the rest of them," she said with a shrug.
Ron groaned, " In our defense we're going to -," Hermione slammed her hand over his mouth and Evelyn snorted.
Her mother looked over at Harry and grinned, " And you're telling me they haven't snogged yet?" she said casually before grabbing plates off the table and sitting them on the counter.
Hermione's face turned ten shades of pink while Sirius and Harry hid their laugh in their cups of coffee. Eurielle decided to relieve her rather prudish friend of any further embarrassment, " You lot packed then?" she asked plopping down next to her father.
Harry nodded, " You?" he asked in return. There wasn't much emotion on his face but he offered a strained smile, his gut obviously rolling.
Eurielle sighed, " Just need to pack some clothes. . ."
Talk of leaving made her feel drained. Though a mildew smell clung to this damned place it held some good memories- well for her.
Evelyn waved her wand at the dishes. She turned to the occupants at the table and looked at Theo, " You're such a handsome boy," she said, her voice more honeyed than usual as she gushed, " So polite too, isn't he a cutie, Eurielle?"
