" HEY ELLIE GET UP!"

Eurielle growled and grabbed the pillow she had been laying on and swung it full force into Caspian's face and smirked when he fell off her bed, " Hey!" he yelled from the floor.

" What do you want Cas?" she groaned, pushing stray curls behind her ear before eyeing the clock beside her bed, " Good God it's six in the morning!"

He nodded, already fully dressed, " Okay, and? I plan on trying out for Quadpot when school starts-,"

Eurielle grabbed her pillow off the floor and flopped down on it, " You're eleven, they wouldn't let a first-year try out," she huffed, he had always been like this, ever since they were little- he would be a Gryffindor if he were to go to Hogwarts, there wasn't any doubting it.

The tan boy tsked his older cousin, " AH, but they've changed that rule, I mean I'm good, but am I prepared mentally? Not quite,"

Yes, a Gryffindor.

She glowered at him," What do you even want, Caspian," she seethed, not having the energy to put up with her rambunctious relative.

" Oh, I'm just bored,"

-

She had ended up beating Caspian with a pillow until he decided to get out and find amusement elsewhere, allowing her two more hours asleep. She planned to spend the day with her aunt and uncle, but unfortunately, their grandmother wouldn't be able to join them.

She had to go to the bakery today but planned to get off early in order to spend the rest of the afternoon with them.

Eurielle didn't mind it just being her and the others, she was actually hoping to drag her aunt and Aurelia to go clothes shopping with her, knowing it wouldn't be a difficult task as the two loved the activity.

-

Lindsey hummed as she layed out cakes in the display case, trying not to let her mind wander to the person who's face was currently taped to a pole right outside her shop.

Would he hurt them?

She shut the case and stepped into the back before taking Euphemia's ginger cookies out of the oven. The woman smiled sadly, her eyes softening as she remembered how her friend had told her she made them better than she did- Lindsey had to disagree, they were close though.

The shop's bell rang and Lindsey perked up, wiping her manicured hands on her apron before making her way to the front.

" Ron, why did we have to come in here again?"

" It says free sample outside, Mione, what do you want me to do?"

The older woman felt herself smile as she saw a redheaded boy practically pressed up against the glass and a bushy-haired girl staring at him disapprovingly.

" Good mornin'," she chirped, " Can I help -,"

She froze, her eyes going to a boy the same age as the other two. He had messy black hair, wire-rimmed glasses, and a face that Lindsey had photographs of, " James," she breathed.

No, the boy's emerald green eyes widened and his eyebrows shot to his hairlines, " Er- no," he replied awkwardly.

Lindsey soon realized her mistake and shook her head, " I'm so sorry, you just... Well, it's very nice to meet you, Mr. Potter, " she said with a small smile, cursing herself for not being more considerate of the boy's feelings.

He perked up slightly, " You... You knew my dad?"

She nodded, " Well, yes I did,"

The boy and girl, Ronald and Mione, looked between each other before glancing back to Harry who was still looking at Lindsey, as if he were holding himself back, trying his best not to ask about his father.

" Can I ask how, if you don't mind," he added quickly, " Did you two go to school together?"

Lindsey let out a twinkling laugh and flipped her hair over her shoulder, " I'm a little older than I look, sugga'," she sighed happily, basking in the accidental comment, " He went to school with my daughter, they were rather close,"

A smile grew on Harry's face as Lindsey continued, " He was a very sweet boy, so funny," she reminisced as she grabbed a sample for Ron, " Always making jokes, he was a wonderful friend to her,"

Harry tried to suppress the large smile that was continuingly growing on his face, and the older woman got the feeling he was once again trying not to ask more questions, " Do you want something, honey?" she asked the bushy-haired girl who was watching Ron stuff his face, " Er, no thank you," she said politely.

Lindsey nodded before turning back to Harry, " I was friends with your grandmother, God rest her soul," she finished quietly but suddenly clapped her hand together before rushing to the back to grab a ginger cookie.

She came back to see the group eyeing her curiously, " She gave me this recipe actually, said it tasted better than hers, but I don't think it does her justice," she sighed before wrapping it in a napkin and handing it to Harry, " It's ginger,"

He took the cookie as it was made of glass and bit in slowly, savoring every last crumb, " Thank you," he said.

Lindsey grinned, " You're very welcome, sugga', would you like some more?"

" Please,"

-

Hermione closed the door behind them and placed a hand on Harry's shoulder, " Are you alright? " she asked eyeing the small yellow box in his hands warily.

He nodded a soft smile still present on his face," With this whole Sirius Black thing I feel like I needed that,"

Ron raised a red brow, " You mean the ginger biscuits? Mate, you hate ginger,"

Hermione flicked Ron's ear, " Oi what was that for?!"

The brunette rolled her caramel eyes before falling into step with the two, Harry in the middle, " Her name was Lindsey Truelove, but I don't believe I've heard the last name before, and why didn't she tell us her daughter's name?"

The freckled boy groaned, " You're thinking way to deep into it, Hermione, she probably didn't see the point in mentioning her daughter because Harry wouldn't know her,"

The girl frowned, choosing not to voice the rest of her thoughts if they were going to be just blown off, " Well at least something good came out of you being an absolute glutton,"

-

Eurielle shoved her hands into the pockets of her oversized plaid unbuttoned button-down. She glanced at herself in the mirror before straightening her white tank top that was tucked into her high waisted jeans. She pulled her mess of curls into a ponytail, and then she was satisfied with her appearance.

Her silver orbs swept around the store until they landed on her aunt who was being lectured by Aurelia how you couldn't wear a choker if you were over thirty.

A smirk tugged at her full lips, her cousin was such a priss.

" Excuse me,"

She looked to her left to see a boy around the age of sixteen. He had brown hair and blue eyes, his skin was pale and blemish-free. The boy possessed a bashful aura and Eurielle decided he was attractive in a conventional way.

" Would I be overstepping a line if I were to ask for your number?" he asked shyly, a hand going to the back of his neck.

She felt herself blush, " Oh, um-"

" I mean it's alright," he said quickly, " Please don't feel obligated to-,"

" No, it's not that," she interrupted with a grimace, " I'm twelve,"

His blue eyes widened to the size of beach balls and his pale face turned ten shades of red, " Y-you're twelve?" he stuttered, his eyes flicking over to her chest which unfortunately didn't go unnoticed by her.

" Uh, sorry to bother you," he mumbled before hurrying off.

The dark-haired girl watched him go, pulling her button down to where it hid her chest. She had never felt so self-conscious in her life.
