Hermione came up to them teary-eyed and Ron scowled, " Come to have a good gloat or are you here to tell us you've told McGonagall-,"
" No," she said softly, " I... I just thought you would like to know," she said holding up a letter, " Hagrid lost the case, Buckbeak is going to be executed,"
Harry and Ron stopped in their tracks and climbed down the steps, taking the parchment from the bushy-haired girl, and they weren't the only ones. Eurielle had overheard and froze, tucking herself behind the staircase and listened.
" They're going to kill him?!" bellowed Ron, " But it was Malfoy's bloody fault!"
" I know, but there's nothing we can do,"
Eurielle bit her lip, could she try owling her grandfather again, or was it too late? She decided to come out from behind the staircase and reveal herself, " The hippogriff is going to be killed?" she asked softly.
The three Gryffindors spun around, " Oh, uh, yeah," muttered Ron looking down at his feet.
She sighed, " Maybe there's something I can do, " she said taking a step forward, she looked over to Harry who was looking anywhere but her, but she ignored him and turned to Granger.
" I don't think there is anything-," she began but was cut off by Eurielle, " I saved Hagrid from getting sacked so maybe there is," she hummed taking the letter from the Gryffindor.
The other's eyes widened," Wait you-,"
" Were the one who got one of the board to vouch for him, yes, I was," she said boredly while reading over the letter with a frown, " If they've already been to court... I guess I can't,"
Her silver eyes softened, " If you'll excuse me, I need to go give Hagrid my condolences," she handed the letter back to Granger and turned around.
" Black wait!" said Harry.
She stopped but didn't bother turning around, " Can I help you?" her voice was like cold rain hitting their back with a considerable amount of force.
" I wanted to apologize," he said quietly.
She turned around and took a step forward, " Good, now please, continue,"
Harry rubbed the back of his neck, green met silver, " I should have never hit you, so I want you to hit me back, an eye for an eye," he looked up to see how his suggestion agreed with her, but like usual her face was emotionless, " I know it's dumb but I-,"
" Oh no, I agree, let's do it," she said pulling her cardigan's sleeves back, " Are you ready?" ashe asked.
Harry blanched, half expectin her to refuse his offer. " You can't be serious," said Hermione.
Eurielle's eyes twinkled maliciously, " No, that's my father,"
Harry stood there, his jaw locked and his eyes closed, " Okay I'm ready," he said with a deep breath, bracing himself.
Eurielle faltered, " No I've changed my mind," she said and Harry perked up.
" Really-?"
SMACK!
" Oi I thought you said you changed your mind!" he whined rubbing his cheek.
Eurielle smirked, " Well I lied, I just wanted you to not expect it," she said with a shrug, " Consider yourself forgiven, Potter,"
Hermione, Ron, and Harry watched the Ravenclaw go.

Care of Magical Creatures rolled around and before she could get Hagrid alone, Potter's Helping Hand Squad beat her to it. They went around his hut and Hagrid seemed almost numb with shock, weeping to the three.
