Harry flopped down onto the bench and scowled at the laughing Slytherins, " Just ignore them, Harry," murmured Hermione as she poured herself a drink.
Harry let out a huff and took a look at his schedule, " New third-year schedules, huh?" asked George taking a bite of toast, Harry only nodded, " What's up with you?" he inquired with a raised eyebrow.
The emerald eyes boy gave a pointed look at the Slytherin table in which Fred and George shared a look, " Little git," said Fred calmly, " Heard he wasn't so cocky last night, Angelina said he ran into her apartment and practically wet his pants,"
" I wasn't too happy myself," offered George with another glance at Harry, " Kinda just suck the life out of you, huh?"
" You didn't pass out did you?" Harry said lowly, " Didn't fall to the ground?"
Fred frowned and glanced at Lee, " You're not the only one who the dementors had a bad effect on," said the redhead quietly, his gaze drifting over to the Ravenclaw table.
Hermione followed his gaze and landed on Eurielle Black who was reading a book, " Are you talking about Eurielle Black," she asked.
The three fifth years nodded and leaned in causing the third years to follow their lead, " She ran into our compartment practically shaking, and as soon as a dementor got close to our door she dropped to the ground, her hands over her ears," said George.
" I tapped her shoulder and she practically lunged at me, and wouldn't let go, I didn't really know what to do," said Lee before taking a sip of his pumpkin juice.
" Yeah you liked that didn't you Lee," said Fred seriously, making Lee snort into his drink and hit the redhead on the shoulder.
" Black?" asked Harry in a quiet voice, his mind beginning to explore the idea that Hermione had been entertaining for a couple of days now.
Fred nodded, " It's an old pureblood family,"
" Could she be related to Sirius Black?"
The twins gave each other a knowing look, " Who knows," began George.
" Yeah," continued Fred, " The Black family is huge, so if they are related it could be from a generation back," he lied.
Harry only nodded, but Hermione wasn't so easily fooled.

The first day of school was relatively normal so far, no one spoke to her, and as far as she knew no one was talking about her behind her back, outside of Slytherin that is. Would they be scared of her if they found out?
She didn't want that, she just... she didn't know. She just wanted this whole thing to go away, she didn't want to worry about her lunatic father coming after her or her family, she didn't want to worry about the mother she had never known.
Potter had to know, right?
No, she couldn't care, she wouldn't care. It wasn't her problem.

She attended Charms and noted the glances Flitwick would send her every few minutes, ' Oh God,' she inwardly groaned.
As soon as class ended the shorter than average man said, " Ms. Black please see me after class,"
Eurielle crossed her fingers, hoping to God this wasn't about her father. She walked towards his podium and he sent her a small smile, " Last year you participated in Professor Lockhart's dueling classes, and I recall you being quite the opponent,"
That's what she got for hoping.
" I suppose," she said, not exactly denying it nor confirming it.
