Eurielle awoke in the hospital wing. She wasn't worried about herself but rather Ron, so when the memory of him collapsing to the ground came to her she bolted upright. Her heart was racing as she looked around the hospital wing only to see she was surrounded by white curtains.
Eurielle tried to hop out of the bed but was tangled in the sheets. She promptly fell to the ground in a dazed heap. The curtain to her right was pushed back and she looked up to see a wide eyed Ginny. The redhead didn't chuckle or laugh as she usually would have. Her freckled face was pale instead of ivory, and usual rosy cheeks were ashen.
Eurielle kicked the linen off of her and grabbed a hold of a chair in order to stand up, " Where's Ron?" she rasped before grabbing the glass of water beside her bed, " Is he alright?"
Ginny looked over her shoulder before nodding, " Yeah. . . he's sleeping a few cots over, c'mon" she said quietly, gesturing for the Ravenclaw to follow her.
"So, all in all, not one of Ron's better birthdays?" said a familiar voice that made her stomach erupt into butterflies. When she walked out from behind the curtains she saw the twins, Harry, and Hermione.
" She's awake," said Ginny.
The four turned to look at her, " Do you remember what happened?" asked Harry.
Eurielle nodded slowly before looking over at a pale faced Ron who was far too still for her liking, " Unfortunately," she whispered, her silver eyes trailing over to Hermione who looked worse than everyone else.
Eurielle pulled up a chair near the others and sat down, " He'll be okay though, yeah?"
George nodded, " Thanks to Harry," he said with a grim smile before patting Harry's back in a brotherly way, " Lucky you shoved the bezoar down his throat,"
"Lucky there was one in the room," said Harry.
Eurielle chuckled slightly as Ron let out a loud snore, " Even when he's been poisoned he still manages to do something so Ron," she hummed fondly, her smile growing ever so slightly, " So I'm assuming the poison was in the mead, because I don't think Slughorn would just go around poisoning people,"
Fred raised an eyebrow and looked to his ex, " How can you be so sure, Black?" he asked in an overly casual voice.
It felt like someone had taken her heart and twisted it as if they were wringing out a wet rag, " Well he didn't slip anything into Ron's drink, I would have seen- Oh yeah that reminds me, " Eurielle stood up and took her flats off before chucking them at the twins, " Never, sell a love potion to Romilda Vane!"
Without another word she summoned her shoes back and slipped them back on, " I was watching him like a hawk, he didn't do anything weird to any of the cups or mead itself, the bottle had never even been open."
Fred pursed his lips, " If you've forgotten love we're wizards, you can't know that for sure,"
The hurt she had felt only moments ago was replaced with cool anger, " Mhm okay , love, but you don't have to be a condescending bas-,"
" Okay let's assume he did," said Harry quickly, obviously trying to keep the peace, "but why would Slughorn want to poison Ron?"
"No idea," said Fred stiffly, glaring lightly in Eurielle's direction. "You don't think he could have mixed up the glasses by mistake? Meaning to get you?"
"Why would Slughorn want to poison Harry?" asked Ginny.
"I dunno," said Fred, "but there must be loads of people who'd like to poison Harry, mustn't there? 'The Chosen One' and all that?"
